While probably the weakest anthology episode of the series, I didn't think this was anywhere near as bad as some say. It got a few laughs (e.g. Linda's Giving Tree story) and the ending was kind of sweet. This is a side note, but I love how during Louise's Jack and the Beanstalk-inspired story she imagines Bob as the giant but makes him a good guy. Whether intentional or not, I thought that was a nice glimpse into how she sees her father. Bob and Louise have always had such a sweet connection, and even when their relationship isn't at the forefront, the series sometimes drops little hints to showcase their bond. Although not on the same tier as "The Frond Files" or "What About Job?," "Interview with a Pop-pop-pire" is a totally fine little episode. P. S. It would have been cool for Bill Hader to reprise his role as Big Bob, but Eric Bauza does a fine impersonation.

The last two seasons of Bob's Burgers lacked a little in quality. Especially the episodes where Gene is the main plot-line.

And after over 200 very funny episodes , there are some horrible ones.

Which is fine with me , every show went through such a phase .

The yearly anthology episodes , where the Belcher-Kids tell stories that are spoofs of literature and movies are always the high-points. (Like the Halloween-Specials). But this one was by far the worst.

In the german-dubbed version Tina Belcher has a new voice , which is very annoying.

Gene has a very high-pitched voice in the german-dubbed versions .

Whenever he has many lines , you only understand half of it or nothing at all.....

Sorry to anyone who enjoyed this episode but this one is in the running for the worst episode of Bob's Burgers of all time. 100s of episodes were not this bad. I can't think of a worse one.

I'm not going to get into the story, you can read the description. But it wasn't funny in any way and it was just boring. I found my attention trailing off throughout the episode and the stories the kids told. I kept expecting it to get better or funny, it never did.

I assume the producers knew it was this bad and held this episode back to air it up against something bigger (in this case, the Oscars) where they knew less people would be watching. If there is an episode to skip, this is it.

I think it took me three tries to finish the episode over the course of last week. Even now I couldn't give a decent recap. It was that boring and forgettable. The show has done several episodes with this kind of format: the kids do the storytelling, but they've absolutely done it better than this. It also seemed as if the writers forgot that Bob and Big Bob mended their relationship back in 'Father of the Bob."

The last couple of seasons have been so weak with quality shows being like a needle in a haystack. Tired of the lame, dated toilet humor (so gross and the show used to be clever enough to do without this) and the phoning-it-in scripts. It's getting to the point that the show is only worth watching if you just want to have seen all episodes. It hasn't been that entertaining in quite some time.
