The best Doo-wop production of all time!
erickson7474 September 2014
Rock, Pop and Doo-wop as presented on public television, KVCR, is the absolute pinnacle in televised Doo-wop programming. From 2011, I have a recording that I will not delete. The $250 price tag is a bit steep for the three DVDs (that I highly recommend) along with the five CDs, but it's best to see these great (old) performers at their best, backed up by a full, professional, orchestra. Seeing the still HOT Ronnie Spector, at 70- something, doing Be My Baby is alone worth the price.

It may be hard to believe but most of these great Doo-wops, on the DVDs with the original singers, sound better than the originals. The voices are still excellent--the full orchestra is fantastic. Thank god for PBS (I never thought I'd say that).
