Selena Rose, who recently has changed her stage name a couple of times (maybe because Digital Playground for whom she was under contract trademarked the moniker), looks beautiful in this rather poor Robby D. Directed vehicle for Digital Playground. The script by usually interesting Kay Brandt also stinks.
What passes for a pre-prom story of adolescent horniness concerns 3 girls (Selena plus ultra buxom Yurizan Beltran-also a recent name- changer and big-assed blonde Tara Lynn Foxx) preparing for prom and talking about getting laid. Selena is the self-professed virgin teen in the bunch but neither script nor direction makes much out of this.
Instead mainly dirty old men (with tattooed Scott Nails thrown in too) hump the girls, poorly photographed by Robby, belying his earlier career as a cameraman. Emphasis on tight close-ups of groins (what we used to call "gynecological shots" back in the day of theatrical porn) is wearying and reduces the cast, including superstar Francesca Le' as Selena's slutty step-mother, to generic sex machines.
Using cheap sets to represent the school's classroom (for detention) and locker room, the worst scene is with Beltran, truly bad direction by R. D. Teacher Manuel Ferrara, who delivers his lines as if surprised by a director yelling "Action!" each time he's to speak, humps Beltran but with soft-core camera angles used for the first few minutes, an R-rated version. This was probably prepared for cable use but sloppily edited into the original XXX release.
Francesca humps Selena's tutor Tommy Gunn and overdoes the shrieking of passion routine. Then Selena humps him with absolutely no suspense or payoff to the virgin deflowered premise of the script. Just as clumsy is a finale when she humps singularly unappealing stretch limo chauffeur Toni Ribas because she lacks a prom date.
Lack of real connection with a prom or school life in general (the girls dress trashily like hookers throughout) makes "Prom" into assembly-line porn of zero interest.
