"Don't let yourself only love one thing, because if you only love one thing.. and then one thing goes away.. well, then you're left without nothing.. and that sucks." I felt that.

A great episode.

Warning: Spoilers
This was a really good episode. It was nice to see the 'real Bunny' and that she was more than an awful curmudgeon. Christine Ko was a excellent addition to the season to add a little bit of to the Arconia. This was an episode from the style we all loved in season 1.

But if someone gives you a bottle of alcohol, you always invite them to come in and drink it with you. That's just common decency. Was a little heart breaking to see.

This is the Only Murders in the Building I loved
eunbi05305 July 2022
We have Mystery, we have character development, we have the story moving forward, there is feeling to it and the best of all NO. AMY. SCHUMER. (except that brief mention of her)

I wonder if we will get more episodes like this one, not necessarily flashback ones, but with more core examples of what we had on season 1, really happy with this episode!

I love Bunny
Hitchslapped5 July 2022
I'd honestly watch a whole movie about the daily life of Bunny Folger. The actress is fantastic and so was this whole episode.

I'm so glad I gave this show a chance because I was really hesitant about it at first.

One the best episodes
jmrtjtj5 July 2022
Really enjoyed this episode, it gives us so much more insight into Bunny and I ended up really caring for her. Now I'm really invested into this season because we got some more clues and hints as to who the killer is. Loving this season.

Outstanding

Warning: Spoilers
What makes this show SO good, what informs you that they have excellent writers deserving of Emmys is that they take the time to HUMANIZE Bunny. Her day, and the moments there in, brought tears to my eyes. Yes she could be cantankerous, but she was still a person deserving of love and kindness. She certainly could show kindness to others. The Arconia was her life. It gave her meaning. I wanted so bad for the gang to bring her in, and that too showed their real character. It's true, one act of kindness may have saved Bunny's life. Rest in peace Bunny.

This was the second best episode of OMITB
Carpe_diem_5 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I always liked Bunny because she was the only one who behaved like an adult in the building. The episode showed that she liked being Board President because she loved Arconia a lot and not because she liked bossing people around (well maybe that too in my opinion). She at last acknowledged that the detective trio did a great job of catching the murderer of Tim Kono. She is a stickler to the rules but that's her job and she maybe the only responsible person in the building. Now I really want the murderer punished. The episode has created atleast three possible plots for this season to explain her murder: 1) Her unwitting knowledge of the loose ends in case 1 that Mable brought up or, 2) The mysterious caller who wanted the painting or, 3) Nina, Bunny's protege and current Board President (seems too simple though)

This was the second best episode after 'The Boy from 6B'. I can't wait for the next episode to see how the story unravels.

A Somber, Character focused episode
tanstorck8 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode wasn't too funny, but it was actually quite sad. Many episodes in season 1 were one character focused, which I really liked. I liked seeing Bunny as a human, instead of just an obnoxious side character. Now I'm kind of sad she got murdered. Some scenes in this episode felt a bit melodramatic. I was really intrigued by the main trio's scenes in the flashbacks, especially when they were discussing whether or not they should let Bunny in. Although they didn't kill Bunny, they could of prevented her murder if they let her in sooner.

Seriously....

Warning: Spoilers
...I just love this show. It creates this atmosphere I haven't seen on a show in quite a long time. The writing is great, the acting, basically everything is just right.

This episode was great too. This show isn't just about the three main characters but deviates to other side characters at perfect moments like this episode. It's great how they give you different insides about the character.

My theory? She committed suicide. She was lonely and her job as head of the apartment board was taken away so she had nothing left in this world. But for her last farewell she made it look like a murder so the three had another story for their podcast and she would be remembered.

But that's just my theory.

Last day before murder and interest
AvionPrince169 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
We follow the last day of Bunny and we wondering what the parrot saw. We saw also that Bunny had some responsabilities and her close friends. And we know also someone was interested by the painting. We follow the event after Tim Kono's case was resolve. Nina is the new suspect of the case

An episode focus on the last Days of Bunny: we saw her friends, her habits, her event for the retirement. And we witness some reasons for the murder: the painting of course, some friend wanted her job. I mean its still interesting and we know a little bit more. Pretty slow but still have some revelations and mysteries. I love also the morality about the act of kindness to Bunny who could change many things and make her still alive but things are done now. Need to see more.

I was'nt into this at all, bunny's pretty awful and moody, and i find it hard to believe that anyone would call their daughter "bunny" roll on the next episode please........i think Martin short may be cuter than selena gomez.... I'm usually a fan of this show.

Immensely enjoyable
dlsaltzberg13 July 2022
I recently saw Steve Martin and Martin Short (and fireworks) at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Their banter, their easy camaraderie, was delightful. I've rarely laughed so hard. Their friendship and casual one-upmanship translate so beautifully in ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING.

Selena Gomez is not the most versatile actor around, but she adds a droll charm to the podcasting trio.

And this episode was especially interesting, as a parrot led into a recreation of Bunny Folger's last day. Insight into a side character--very illuminating and unexpected.

But I really want to yell at all the user/reviewers here who are trashing Amy Schumer. Stars and celebrities take cameo guest-starring roles as themselves in order to poke fun at themselves. They play rude, selfish or arrogant, tasteless or asinine. THEY ARE ACTING.

Sure, Schumer may be a real piece of work in real life; I don't know--but here, her transparent greediness and lack of insight is SATIRICAL. This is not the real her.

So quit bitching!

Bunny Is a Honey
Hitchcoc21 July 2022
It's nice that we get to see the human side of the old woman who died violently. It turns out she was generous and approachable, even though she ruled the building with an iron fist. We see her encounters with people on the street.

A Definite Step Up from the Last Episode
vipham26025 July 2022
Now THIS is The Only Murders Show I know and love! The show beautiful gives us an insight into the character of Bunny Folger, one that we never got in the first season. This episode was such a wonderful watch from the storyline to the tie-ins with the podcast and the humorous moments. Hopefully the rest of the season follows this same trajectory and doesn't see the same downfalls as the previous episode.

Adorable albeit obnoxious
vincentzheng-14042629 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Can you believe Bunny is actually such an adorable girl? Love the performance when she puts on the tie-dye hoodie... So cute and so lovable, knowing that she is about to be murdered soon...

A simple act of kindness may really make a difference in real world.

On the Clock
The best episode of the season so far, 'The Last Day of Bunny Folger' accomplishes a lot in its thirty-one minute of running time. For one, it reminds the viewers of the days when the main trio - Mabel, Charles, and Oliver - were relative strangers to us and each other. Back then, Oliver came across as a washed-up producer with a tendency to overshare, Charles could barely hold a meaningful conversation with anyone, and Mabel would be carelessly rude and judgemental. Of course, all of that still applies but, somewhere along the way, we saw that there was more to those characters and began to care for them. Bunny Folger never got that expanded treatment - until now.

Jayne Houdyshell plays the part of the cantankerous, caring, opinionated, resourceful, pedantic, hard-working, blunt, and unexpectedly generous character beautifully. We get to spend a day in Bunny's world, and much of it centres on the Arconia and, by extension, New York. Bunny had a closer relationship with the staff at her local diner than she had with her family, and her only truly intimate engagement seems to have been with the Arconia herself. Neither fact is presented as tragic - but the latter could have contributed to Bunny's untimely demise.

As far as the crime investigation goes, the episode proposes two obvious suspects: Nina, the new chair of the board, and the mysterious caller, who contacted Bunny on her mobile and was unceremoniously told off for that. Given that the first series gradually revealed the Dimas and Jan as criminals with entirely unconnected motives and modi operandi, it is possible more than one person is involved this time around, too.

Emotionally, this is a bitter-sweet segment: while Bunny's character is shown to have more depth, there is no reward for her. 'We at Only Murders did not kill Bunny Folger. But there's a chance we could have saved her life with a simple act of kindness.'

Bunny's apartment
goodgreenmolly-4957412 July 2022
Guys does it not bother anyone else that the scene shows bunny closing the door ACROSS the hall from Mabel's apartment when we are made to believe her apartment is beside hers?? The vent that goes directly into bunny's apartment etc. Am I missing something??

Don't get me wrong this show has me hooked....just that one weird detail.....

The Last Day of Bunny Folger
Prismark1024 October 2022
This was a good episode. If Bunny Folger was a foul mouth harridan with an even more potty mouthed bird.

This episode retracing Bunny's last day, humanizes her. Emphasising her devotion to the Arconia building and her loneliness.

It was due to be her last day as the building board president. Nina Lin is taking over but Bunny has second thoughts. She discovers that Nina has other ideas and wants to monetize the building.

Over the course of the day, her paths crosses with Charles, Oliver and Mabel.

At one point the trio realise that if they had been nicer to Bunny, she would still be alive.

I liked this episode, it gives a more back story to Bunny. There are more suspects and it does not need the gimmick of the special guest cameos.

1st 2 episodes were bad ... this one was great!
Ziggy19657 July 2022
I trashed the last 2 episodes in my reviews. However, this was a good episode. The writing was tight and focused on the main theme and did not try to be stupidly funny. Interestingly enough, I even enjoyed the Mabel character. Let's hope the remaining episodes are just as good.

Episode 203
bobcobb3018 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The Bunny character is really dismal and I think the show is better without her, but this episode was not bad. Focusing on multiple interactions with one person is a smart strategy, similar to flashback episodes dramas used to rely on.

A dull episode from a previously wonderful series
dilloncheah6 September 2022
This episode was really, really dull, up until the last 5 to 10 minutes or so. Flashback was always going to be a risk, and unfortunately turned out to be a real disappointment I'm afraid to say. This episode took a long time to say very little. Wallowing around in the overarching unpleasantness in Bunny's character, and in others' too. Very pedestrian directing, writing and pacing. Because of that, the humour was muted and pathos blunted.

We have been plodding, plodding along in this lacklustre season. Had been such a fan of this series previously, but there is little true intrigue, nor any sense of urgency, this time round.

Funny as Hell
moviesfilmsreviewsinc25 August 2022
Only Murders in the Building understands that perspective is especially important to its storytelling. Theo Dimas (James Caverly) got an episode told through his eyes in the first season, a high point for the show that gave the audience a way for a deaf character to shed some light on the murder investigation. Theo ended up being only a small part of the mystery's final outcome, but it was a brilliant way for us to think about what was happening in the lives of the suspects outside of what Charles, Mabel, and Oliver could see. The show takes a similar approach in this week's affairs when we get to live out the final day of Bunny Folger's life right alongside her. The eerie part of the narrative is obviously that we know her demise is close, but she thinks the day is important for an entirely different reason. Bunny plans to retire and give the keys to the Arconia to Nina Lin (Christine Ko), a woman who resident gossiper Howard (Michael Cyril Creighton) says is an even bigger bitch than Bunny. But what makes Nina such a central figure besides this one-off claim from Howard? We know that she does actually get the job after Bunny was murdered, but the fact that she was already in line to get the position regardless of Bunny's fate points to an obvious assumption: Nina just might be the prime suspect in the killing of her former mentor. If Bunny was going to retire, why would Nina have to whack her to take the throne? Because as Bunny lives out her personal finale, she gets more and more melancholy about the prospects of giving up her power. The Arconia means a lot to Bunny. It's been in her family for decades, and seeing someone else get to make the decisions for the building's residents is something that she just can't imagine relinquishing. And while Charles, Mabel, Oliver, and everyone else in the apartment made off-the-cuff remarks about Bunny's personality throughout the first season, that simple change of perspective that we talked about before gives us reason to believe that Bunny is actually not so bad after all. Her passion and loyalty to those she serves is misconstrued, much the same way a strict parent or a stern teacher is taken for granted. Only Murders in the Building has done a fantastic job at recognizing this through satirical humor and by flipping traditional mystery genre tropes on their heads. Bringing Bunny to life with hardly any screentime from the three main characters is something that is both daring and risky, but the show manages to pull it off seamlessly. The end of the episode fuses the two perspectives together when it's revealed that Bunny came to visit the main trio just moments before her death to give them some champagne. Remember that Charles, Mabel, and Oliver were celebrating the comeuppance of Jan (Amy Ryan) at this time in last season's finale. When the crew takes Bunny's gift and leaves her hanging outside, never thinking to invite her in to join the festivities, we see how thankless her job really was. The three immediately feel guilty when they hear her cries of depression outside their door, a moment that is punctuated with one of Martin Short's funniest lines of the series so far.

Bye bye Bunny
rlinsk-786-2245627 August 2022
A great star turn as Bunny by Jayne Houdysell. Glad the writers came back to her character and allowed it to be rounded out. It was also fun to see the building against the backdrop of the recent NYT story on the real Belnord.
