The worst "Tatort" of 2022
Wild-At-Heart17 October 2022
A psychologist - practitioner of the so-called psycholysis - treats his patients with drugs to solve their problems. The film begins with all six of his patients dying because they have been poisoned. Only Dr. Goser, the therapist, survives and is arrested by the two commissioners as the only suspect at first.

So far, so good. What follows, however, has little to do with a crime thriller. The rest of the film - except for the short ending - comes across as if the scenes with Johnny Depp in "From Hell" in the drug hell had been expanded into a feature film - peppered with arbitrary quotes from Rilke and an inclusion of films with Schwarzenegger in a psychotherapeutic treatment that only produces head-shaking.

But not enough of that: Especially the character of Dr. Goser is portrayed in such a clichéd, striking and exaggerated way by Martin Wuttke that a reasonably sensible person, even with psychological problems, would rather flee from him than accept his help. The two commissioners, played by Margarita Broich and Wolfram Koch, whom I otherwise like very much, degenerate into extras of a bad, artificial script that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of unimaginativeness.

For me, the worst "Tatort" of this year so far, which was blessed with only a few good episodes anyway.
