I'm a big fan of 30 Rock, and I was looking forward to Mr. Mayor, but unfortunately I only managed to, by accident, see this episode, The Debate, as the first episode I've seen of Mr. Mayor. Not checking social media, I only learned afterwards that it was the series finale because the series was axed after only two seasons. I can't believe it, because I wanted to know about the cliffhanger about the Mayor's love-child.
I wonder though if fans of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip would take satisfaction of Mr. Mayor's axing, because remember that Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and 30 Rock was broadcast by NBC at the same time, and the common wisdom was that Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip would survive, but no Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was axed after one season and 30 Rock thrived.
