Shattered dreams.
Sleepin_Dragon6 April 2023
Wicky has to attend a scene at a Theatre, a death during The Donkey Boyz, a group of male strippers. At the Theatre he encounters an eccentric theatre manager, and a down on his luck clown.

I'd heard some gripes about this episode, people deeming it dull and unfunny, and whilst I have some agreement for the latter, it wasn't particularly funny, but as a comic tragedy, it was quite something.

Strazzamo was such a sad case, but a shining example of why everyone should have a dream, I really did enjoy the scenes between him and Wicky, a lovely character.

Simon Callow, as always delivered, but huge credit to John MacMillan, I thought he outshone then all, he was great.

8/10.

The Clown
Prismark101 April 2023
Wicky goes to the theatre. Not to watch a show but to clean up after a male strip show got out of hand.

As Mr Abahassine (Simon Callow) the whimsical theatre manager tells Wicky. They need the male strippers in order for the theatre to survive.

After Wicky has an accidental fall, he imporesses Strazzamo the clown who is doing the next show.

Strazzamo left a lucrative career in finance to pursue his dream of becoming a clown. As Wicky discovers Strazzamo is not a very good clown even if he did learn mime in Paris.

There is a nice discussion underneath all the pratfalls and foolishness about pursuing your dreams.

Wicky knows he he is just a glow worm. Maybe he should had been more encouraging of Strazzamo, despite not being very good or even afford to buy lunch.
