Fine ending to a mediocre and forgetful arc

Warning: Spoilers
I will forget this arc by the next season.

Overall not a fan of the villain, seemed too strong for no reason other than being a great warrior... annoying otherwise.

Rising, child leader is fine except I doubt we will ever see him again (could be wrong)

Akbar being in the arc is fine but a tad unnecessary... don't need an explanation for him being aligned with the rebellion in later films.

Kit Fisto shouldve been there from the beginning.

Don't like underwater stuff since it opens too many questions for me... how do these guys sleep if they're constantly treading water?

Don't hate, don't love, overall entertaining but forgettable.

Treading water

This is the conclusion of a relatively disappointing 3 part opening story to Season 4. The story was a bit dragged out over 3 episodes and is pretty run of the mill but has decent characters and fun action.

The underwater idea is interesting and I must give credit for the ambition to show a totally different world and unique battle ideas. However it was very hard to achieve plausibility and sadly the lack of logic in physics, even within the fantasy world of Star Wars, is too jarringly obvious throughout the 3 parts. There is not enough quality in the rest of this story to distract from that so it stands out to me too much.

On the other hand if you ignore the physics this is an ok adventure on an interesting world. It is not great but it is not bad.

There are some bits of fun such as the Jaws tribute as the villain who looks like a shark has a visual moment at the end that clearly is echoing the ending of the famous movie.

Not bad but a comparative disappointment.

My rating: 6.5/10.

Below average

Only just below but still an episode to miss. Not Jar Jar's fault this time just a very boring episode. Everyone plays their part toward the dark and light side and it appears alright but it is below average.

At least its over!

Of all the episodes of the clone wars, (yes even all the droid episodes) the Water War arc is the only arc that I fell asleep to. It wants us to care about this civilization but it fails so hard and is ultimately inconsequential.

These 3 episodes are some of the only episodes Id recommend skipping for first-time viewers. At least we got Kit Fisto shirtless.
