Although I was only able to view the two minute excerpt, I really felt excited and interested in viewing the complete 7 minute short. The emotion that the artist, Eileen Reynolds, creates with the movements of the claymation infant, moved me to tears. The content is an interesting concept for a science fiction. The materials used appear to be appropriate and yet simplistic enough to not to deter from the short storyline. I like the method in which the artist uses herself as creator and actor within the stopmotion process. What I truly found touching is the communication technique between the infant and the scientist. The touch, the expression and understanding between the two is expressed in a subtle manner. Kudos to Eileen Reynolds for the time and effort required to produce this 7 minute short.
