Nice touch of comedy about American way of life
searchanddestroy-126 May 2016
I am not a great comedy lover, in any kinds. But this one is an amusing paint of the capitalistic way of life, involving a couple whose the writer husband is proposed big money for his novels. So, all this show demonstrates how the new easy living, because of the new income, will softly strike the couple's life. The scenes when Rod Taylor character is asked by his publisher to write garbage in order to stimulate the sales are very funny because they show how greed can stimulate the collapse of any kind of genius. This story could be summarized only in this scheme: can money can bring everything? The answer is: certainly not.

Directed by David Lowell Rich.
