This is one of the most naturalistic, most beautifully acted film that I saw in a long time. The performances, direction, camera work, everything is stunning to say the least. Every scene is so extremely well acted, it almost feels that the actors are breathing and living this life, it is not a fiction as such. The flow of emotions just carries you through the film. It is so real that it feels dream like at some places - like the woman on the swing - especially. Beyond the couples, the friendships have been shown so beatiful. You can feel for both - Bhalu and Mitthu - in equal measure - but you also can feel for all the other characters as well. Everyone has done a fabulous job.

Another gem that I discovered this weekend is Pokhar ke dunu paar (On either side of the pond) The movie is a moving portrait of youth, love, with the corona virus pandemic lurking around them. Amidst the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic, Sumit and Priyanka, an eloped couple, return to the security of their hometown. While Priyanka feels uneasy in the suffocating familiarity of her town, Sumit immerses himself in his tribe of friends.

The movie feels like a lived-in experience. It literally takes you inside the lives of Sumit and Priyanka and let's you watch their lives unfold while almost making you feel like a voyeur. It's the treatment of the film that's captivating, slow and the dialogues and simply slice of life. Extremely relatable and one can actually feel like you have been there too.

The movie showcases some very fine performances by the lead pair Abhinav Jha, Tanaya Khan Jha, Dheeraj and few more amazing actors who have equally performed brilliantly.

I guess none of the actors in the film are any known faces which makes them extremely familiar. Watch it for the dialogues and the interactions between the characters and you will know what i am talking about.
