Enthusiastic cast makes the show

Girlfriends brings out the cliches in these vignettes about brides going lesbo (at least temporarily). It's enjoyable, in one of the label's more limited (constrained by the "bride" premise) series.

A couple of vignettes use the hook of a woman stuck with a wedding dress when her nuptials fail to materialize, blamed on a man of course. Dressed oddly in hospital scrubs (coming home after a hard day at work), Dia Zerva humps buxom and cute Evie Delatosso in a contrived and unconvingly set-up scene in which they first discuss Dia's need to sell the unused gown. Similarly young blondes Marlie Moore and Lena get dressed up in their transaction for the bridal gown.

Strangest vignette has future mother-in-law KC Kelly seducing Faye Reagan, after they head to the bedroom for Faye to try on her gown (a familiar glamour trope in a Girlfriends film). Scene is introduced with KC's son (uncredited extra) in a wheelchair, cast as the would-be groom.

Heather Starlet is another bride just before marriage, trying on gowns in the bedroom with pal Dana DeArmond as prelude to the mandatory Sapphic sex.
