Warning: Spoilers
I'm enjoying this from its start & up until this episode that have given time to introduce & develop the stories core characters.

In addition...

Most impressive is the Alaskan rugged terrain that's apparent in their big city & outskirts affects from their extremities in weather. Its Arctic weather is with long, very cold winters & short cool summers. I don't know per se; however, I did looked it up...:)

Thus far, the producers have chosen well in filming during the Alaskan summer season. Although, it may have been in British Columbia, regardless the magic of filming provides us viewers the flavor of actual living experiences from its metropolitan Juneau, and a brief stay over at its outer countryside.

I'm eagerly to continue this well produced film & look forward to how this continues in character development, that will surely be affected by the Alaskan climate & terrain. Mix them all together, I suspect this will be a most drama filled, thriller driven with touches of humor & of human conflicted stories. One heck of a series in decency...

It's Not Personal
Prismark109 April 2023
The third episode cements the murky relationship between business, politics and the police. You could also add to that the media.

Eileen, Roz and Sylvie travel to Meade to learn more about a suspect in Gloria's case and connect with the local police chief. Only to find themselves stonewalled. Eileen uses some subterfuge to get some public information but that upsets Roz.

They do find out that the police chief has no interest in investigating attacks on indigenous women, regarding them as drunks.

Austin interviews a senatorial candidate which is cut short because of an environmental mishap. He learns that the pro salmon candidate is getting funding from an organisation that is opposed to his aims.

It leaves the editor Stanley in a difficult position. The newspaper's owner supports the candidate.

Although there is an emphasis in the personal lives of the reporters. I just regard that as padding. Andrew's anger with the editor had some justification.

To me there is mileage in the actual mystery and the inept police response which still continues. Alaska Daily is at least finding its feet.
