World without moral compass?

Warning: Spoilers
I am only offering this review because there are none others so far.

I enjoy eclectic 'out there,' dark, ponderous, provocative movies also foreign movies. This DVD that I obtained from library had no subtitles, no set up menu of any sort .. just PLAY. Fortunately I speak rather fluent Spanish so I turned up the volume and strained to hear/understand the Spanish dialogue. The actors spoke quite clear Castilian Spanish, though I could not tell where the movie was shot, whether Mexico DF or Madrid? .. I kept suspecting Mexico- yup, Mexico. Halfway through the film, I noticed background chatter . Just looked at you-tube about the production - they must have shot this flick next to a busy restaurant? At first I thought maybe the background chatter was intentional .. it was most apparent during quiet/silent (office) scenes .. as if there were a very busy café next door .. finally I decided this was some very low budget film with poor equipment, shot in locations with no soundproofing?

I especially liked one feature they used to show distortion or subjective reality .. I won't describe it further, to minimize spoilage.

They tried to weave a complex psychological plot . I missed nuances due to lack of subtitles.

In the end (and it says so on the jacket) the hero concludes that reality is subjective .. which is not a novel realization.

The ending/conclusion DID cause me to reflect on human nature, the contradictions and injustices that we tolerate and live with, commit .. only a few days ago I had finally watched The Big Short (had read the book back in 2011) and I've been listening to the follow up book Boomerang (Michael Lewis) where Lewis posits whether the Greek people COULD EVER be honest, eliminate fraud from their way of life - in order not to bankrupt themselves.

I look forward to more erudite reviews. Most would probably rate this movie a 3 - 4 for technical shortcomings? I enjoyed it as valiant attempt to cause thought provoking self reflection of how we morally bankrupt ourselves, how we live with committing, tolerating fraud. Also nice job on weaving the intriguing plot.

Now after more web searching, I see it's a start up film production company in Mexico .. Kudos to their efforts! I look forward to their next film.
