Excellent portrait into a world many of us do not see

Children of Kabul takes its viewers into the lives of 4 Afghani children who are forced to support their families through manual labor and street vending. The filmmakers piece together an emotional, yet endearing canvas of the day-to-day difficulties these children must endure as a by-product of the violence and war that has ravaged their home lives and placed them at the forefront of earning wages to support their families. The documentary is an effective 25 minutes, and delivers just enough information to successfully draw activist-like thoughts from its viewers upon its completion, but still leave viewers desiring to know more about these children's impending futures. Appropriately subtitled: A Documentary About Afghanistan's Unnoticed, this film provides perspective on a world many Americans would otherwise not see, and will hopefully draw attention and raise awareness for the hardships that exist in our world; Even for a child.
