Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Dory has a panic attack at one moment. This can be very powerful and sad for many people.
  • This film is less intense than its predecessor, since it sometimes adds some comic relief to the intense scenes.
  • For people who feel like they don't fit in like Dory, this film can be VERY emotional
  • A little more tamer than Finding Nemo not as many scary scenes
  • On December 17, 2023, I heard that Finding Dory might get a G re-rating.
  • A large squid attacks Marlin, Nemo, and Dory.
  • There is a pervasive theme of losing one's family throughout.
  • Dory is put in a bucket with dead fish. This is played to comedic effect however.
  • There are several scenes where either Dory or Marlin and Nemo are in peril.
  • Towards the end of the movie, Dory finds out how she was separated from her parents. This scene is very emotional.
  • Dory, throughout the movie, has flash-backs of when she was little. These scenes are also emotional.
