I'm a few episodes in now, but I'm seeing that this series is going to be about a 7 from here on out because the split personality problem is continuing.

The flashbacks to the 50s with the scientists is interesting and fun. The modern day stuff doesn't work for me, because the characters are jarring and not well acted.

Cate in particular is too much of a brat. She lives in a world where huge monsters stomp cities on a regular basis, yet everything is all about her. Boo hoo, her daddy had a second family in Tokyo. Well he's dead (as far as she knows) so get over it already.

Her brother is better but bland. The black hacker chick is a cliche but at least she has some oomph.

Second episode of Monsterverse's most awaited series, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is premereired and here's my thoughts on this episode i.e. "Departure":-

Positives :-

1. Storyline and writing of this episode is superb.

2. CGI and visuals are great.

3. Cinematography are very good.

4. Production budget looks very high, and you could feel it in cinematography, color grading, visuals etc.

5. Casting performance is also great.

6. Despite being less action sequences, you don't get bored in this episode due to it's mysteries and thrilling elements.

Negatives:-

1. Slightly below as compared to it's first episode.

Final Thoughts and Review :-

Overall, "Departure" is a almost perfect episode and comprises a fantastic continuity to it's first episode, but if you are expecting a massive titan action, then this series isn't for you. If you are looking for a richly written series, then I'll definitely recommend this one.
