Well-acted Gay Hitchcockian thriller worth a look
lor_17 April 2018
Released as two separate featurs ("Focus" and "Refocus") this ambitious Gay Porn feature is head and shoulders above its brethren in terms of acting. It seems that the fans just want sex, giving it an unfortunate "old hat" status but for my money the two poles: story vs. sex can coexist and provide entertainment together.

In the lead role of an overly horny, unemployed but available Gay guy in Frisco, Cole Streets is so convincing as an actor he should have been able to crossover into mainstream roles. He gets enmeshed in a dangerous world as a serial killer is on the loose, and his fascination with porn (shooting his own sex tapes and posting them on the internet) leads him inexorably into a quest to identify the killer.

Several filmmakers are credited for directing and producing this pair of films (shot on video) and among them writer Dan Rhodes deserves kudos as the script and dialog work quite well. Also, the resolution of the mystery is satsifying.

A dozen sex scenes involving muscular guys with big dicks ultimately take precedence over the amateur sleuthing, but at least this has the look and feel of a regular movie, with plenty of location photography in S.F. Total running time is nearly five hours, a far cry from the 75 minutes IMDb had stored in its database.
