"Steffi gefällt das" is a Germany short film that was made 3 years ago and runs for 3.5 minutes plus 1 minute credits. It's so far the most recent work by writer and director Philipp Scholz and I thought this was a pretty smart little movie. It basically parodies Facebook in real life. The protagonist walks through the street, makes new friends has people poking him and keeps up-to-date on photos and relationship statuses. People appear randomly and give him a thumbs-up. But it's also a lesson on how people online may not be what they seem to be with the film's somewhat serious ending, even if the tone is still very comedic. A good watch and I recommend it. I hope Scholz will return to making films at some point. If they are as good as this one, I will certainly give them a chance.
