Meredith finally gets closure
rodrigues-391898 March 2020
I loved this episode, Meredith finally gains closure about her mother and is now finally able to move on and her and Derek's trial finally works. I loved this episode and I loved how Christina is undertaking the task of teaching Lexie too. A touching and beautiful finale

The virus is working

Warning: Spoilers
First, a goof: The tomato that Alex slices when Rebecca cuts herself was never sliced completely. He only got to slice about half. But when Meredith gets home and see the blood on the floor and starts cleaning, the tomato on the counter is perfectly sliced, all of it.

I think this is a great season finale. It's not the most action-filled one, but it has a lot of good stuff.

Yang is getting her groove back. Meredith gets some closure with her mom. George finally is pushed to speak his mind about his situation in the hospital.

A lot of things are being resolved, and we know we're in for a lot of new beginnings at the start of season 5. That makes is an exciting season finale.

There is actually one thing that annoys the h*** out of me regarding this finale though. All of the candles and the glass jars that Meredith uses to build their house with. I mean - how did she manage to buy and transport all of them into the forest in that amount of time. I mean, come on! It's completely ridiculous. And remember when Sheperd showed Mark the land, they had to walk for a period of time in the forest to get to the spot.... Now, suddenly the trailer is parked exactly where the new house will be? Why did Mark and Derek walk in the mud ruining Mark's expensive shows the other time then? If they could just drive all the way up? No, Meredith did absolutely not do that in what, 30min? 60min? or whatever time the show wants us to think. It would have taken soooo many hours....! Makes me a little angry, and I'm not able to enjoy the episode just as much as I would have with a more realistic gesture.... But I still enjoy the episode!

And one more complaint: they use the word extraordinary wayyyy to much, and especially in this episode!

My favorite episode by far !! Been watching since I was 15 and I come back to watch this one all the time !! The growth of Mer and Derrick is a big part of why I live this episode. I act tough but I'm a softy especially for their relationship!

Love everything else but Lexie, Izzie, and George

Warning: Spoilers
These characters, Lexie, Izzie, and George deserved to -SPOILER ALERT- disappear from the series - like they eventually did later.

"I can't (forget the information of other staff members). Photographic memory." - Yes! True! But that does not make you stick your nose to read everyone else's files. It also does not make you blurt every single thing you know about confidential information to anyone else. Lexie has been annoying from the beginning and I'm happy that -SPOILER ALERT- she is killed off eventually.

Izzie is smart but her character somehow do stupid things and lack of confidence many times. In this episode, I would either back off or push Alex hard from the beginning - not just reluctantly pressing, which is more annoying, especially when she shows a vibe like she wants to sleep with Alex after stealing George from Callie.

George - well you know - is being George.

Bonus - Alex is being a jerk.
