Great wrap-up of the season
grantss13 November 2023
After the death of Ellis in the Marina, the details of the Lexi Parks murder are clear. In spite of this significant evidence, the DA insists on continuing to prosecute David Foster. Bosch has a plan to clear Foster for good. Meanwhile the FBI is closing in on Mo.

A great, neat wrap-up of Season 2. Things seemed concluded after the previous episode but, as is the custom with this show (to its credit), there's always some loose ends to tidy up.

Some great intrigue and tension and a twist that could see a whole new direction for the series. Also great to see Lance Reddick, sadly for the last time. RIP.

On the negative side, the wrap-up is maybe a little too neat. It's gotten to the point that whenever one of the main characters is in a bind you know that not only are they going to get out of it but they were in control all along. It's getting a bit too predictable that way.

Bosch is the Best
polsixe12 November 2023
But it's getting to be Maddie not Harry. Good season, nice to see Lance Reddick in there one last time. The other old Hollywood Division guys really need to let go though. Honey Chandler gets to do the stuff half-brother Mickey Halley does in the books. These are adapted screenplays but it's fun to try and recall some of the plotting carried over from the books, such as The Crossing. The Televideos introduce some new characters like Mo and his role is the weakest, the super-hacker who can do-it-all is a little too stereo-typish, but the actor does a good job with the script. Maddie develops as a competent street cop, getting more story arc and growth, cliffhangar of sorts hints at some further Bosch family issues next year.

Can We Be Finished
Hitchcoc11 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I know that these shows always seem to run together. I enjoyed the good guys coming out on top (surprise-surprise!), especially Mo's discovery of the betrayal. Bosch is exonerated. So is Honey. The bad guy's gun is found--taking the pressure off Maddy. How about ending this story line without having another hook. If I live long enough to see Season 3, it will start with Bosch under the gun again. A whole season where the characters are led by the nose by some psycho in prison. Oh well. That's the formula. I like Titus Welliver, but he is getting pretty old for the intense physical activity he endures in this show. Oh, well. I still love it. Just be more creative.

Too much Maddie, not enough Hieronymus

Warning: Spoilers
Sorry but can we give the Maddie storyline a break. She seems shoehorned into scenes where it is not necessary. On behalf of Bosch aficionados give it a rest with the Maddie storylines. I do nott want to watch rookie cop becomes seasoned officer. That is not why we are tuning in. I get that they have to have some type of filler or B storyline but her judgemental, pouty looks are just too much. Perhaps it is to give Titus Welliver a break but there other supporting cast members that could foot that bill. Looks like they are setting up Honey Chandler as DA and Bosch could work as a special investigator directly for the DA office which would make season three intriguing. Well, you get the point, someone put the kaibosh on the Maddie Bosch storyline. Pun intended.

This season sucked
nfire-297418 January 2024
I have enjoyed Bosch and Bosch Legacy (season 1). Any crime drama is gonna have its moments of inaccuracy and unbelievability.

BUT, Bosch Legacy season 2 sucks! Every part of every episode is so unbelievable and ridiculous. Very laughable and irritating. The characters were not developed well.

It feels like the acting overall is so much worse than other seasons (with the exception of Welliver). It feels like the writing is worse as well.

Couldn't wait to just get through the end of season 2. Kinda hoping all the characters would just die.

We are gonna pass if they make a season 3.

Good luck.

Disappointing second season
lotekguy-11 January 2024
I liked the first season a lot, so I waited until I could binge the second without distractions. Alas, it was a letdown in several respects.

The first is that our protagonists are under too much fire from too many sources for way too long. By now you know the specifics. They're all playing defense and circling the wagons for most of the first eight episodes. I'd have preferred the good guys kicking more butts along the way to their upswing in the last two.

The second is that Harry gets a lot of screen time, but none of the best scenes. His savvy remains, but he's relatively inept at things formerly in his wheelhouse - spotting a tail, finding bugs and trackers, anticipating and turning the tables on the bad guys, etc. This year he's more dependent on others.

Crate and Barrel could have lightened the dour mood a bit if given more to do. Maddie, Chandler and Mo get the best moments in the later episodes without Harry. The dude needs to be more central to the solutions if there's a third season.

Daughter should have stuck to being a lawyer
mrwb7718 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The season was decent light entertainment but nowhere near as good as the earlier seasons of legacy Bosch.

The writing let's it down, with hackneyed and ridiculous repeated story lines. How many times can the daughter be kidnapped?, at least twice now... maybe even 3.

Suddenly the daughter is no longer a boot, is promoted and turns straight in to super cop. Meanwhile Bosch senior has become a useless moron and needs her to bail, him out. Give me a break...

It's very unbelievable to me. As is what the FBI are up to, how many snitches do they want? Not only that but despite targeting the employees of a law firm, no one takes the fifth and no one even asks for representation before taking to them...

Let's not even get started on the gestapo esque search of a law firms offices where they cart off mountains of files that have nothing to do with the case or warrant. What constitution? May as well just do an extrajudicial execution.

Overall, some ok entertainment if you turn your brain off but it's got nothing on original Bosch.
