SELF INDUCED NIGHTMARES is an indie horror anthology that's a lot slicker than expected in terms of direction, editing, and story structure. The tales are being told during a blind date in a restaurant and the teller is a beautiful red-headed horror writer. The material isn't great and there's a little too much padding overall, but there are some nice ideas here and a lightness of touch at times that reminded me of the works of Stephen King. The story about a demon-possessed teddy bear is undoubtedly the highlight here, but violent sex, stalking, and a great pizza gag are the order of the day too.
