This is a very pleasant comedy and completely targeted towards Marathi speaking audience. Brilliant performances by Ashok Saraf, Mukta Barve, Prasad Oak, Subodh Bhave and pushkar shrotri. Timing of the comedy is great for Ashok Saraf, Pushkar Shrotri and Prasad Oak. Dada Dandke(Played by Ashok Saraf) is a goon and he has lot of respect in his town. He is never married after his break from Kishori Shahane. Kishori Shahane tries to promote education in Ashok Saraf's town with a municipal school and faces lot of rage and opposition from goons of Dada Dandke (Ashok Saraf) but when Ashok Saraf discovers that the woman who is trying to build up a municipal school is nothing but his ex-beau or lover Kishori Shahane. He then tries to win her back but she call him a goon who is still illiterate and also opposes education and asks him if he could ever be a gentleman she loved and refuses to discuss any further on their break-up. He decides to quit his illegal businesses, decides to become educated and promote education and be completely a gentleman again. But as it turns out it is not so easy for him. With all the tangles and mix of beautifully crafted comedy with good timing, the plot swiftly moves ahead and the movie is all @ the transformation and chaos created as a result of his transformation to a gentleman.
A must watch movie for any Marathi speaking person. With subtitles even non-Marathi people can watch this and still enjoy thoroughly.
