This episode from season 3 of "A@E's" "Biography:WWE Legends" "Jake 'The Snake' Roberts" which first aired on 2-26-23 was one of the better one's as it was in depth, revealing, and informative as it brought back memories for old head wrestling fans like me remembering the glory days of the 80's "WWF" when Jake rained as bad heel with snake Damien! Some of the early years when Roberts grew up in Texas were tough and forgettable with his dad ex wrestler Grizzly Smith(as showcased in a "Dark Side of the Ring" episode also). Still with his go against the grain attitude Jake got into the business in the Mid South region only to catch the attention of Vince in the mid 80's where he took up the gimmick of "Jake the Snake" and carried a snake to the ring! His words demanded attention as his behind the mic promos were chilling and his in the ring action made him a hated bad guy only the travel and being on the road combined with addiction and substance abuse lead to his near break down. Stunning and yet redemption like is seeing how Jake made it thru and is living sober free. Really memorable and stand up and cheer episode for any old wrestling fan as it pays tribute to one raw, gritty, and redeemed tough living legend in one "Jake the Snake Roberts".
