(pulls up nerd pants) ...a 2-player pump it up game with a 1-player screen that looks more like guitar hero than pump it up??? How did that fly past everyone?
Well, anyway, even though there's such a wealth of Chinese cinema, I do love seeing Asian American and Chinese American cinema evolving into its own beautiful and unique thing. The casting is fun, and I'm impressed that you could make all the dads and uncles hot and not hot as they still retain their animal personas in human form.
The retro neon synthwave-y color scheme of this episode is beautiful, and I would love to see more shows that lift up the glory of arcades and bowling alleys in an era where they are dying (not for economic or cultural reasons, but because the gods keep coming down and messing them up).
