Disappointing Season
Bob Hearts Abishola Season 4 Review

Positives: The episodes are short, and the cast is still doing well. Bob looks nice as a thin man.

Negatives: This is the worst season of this show. There is literally no storyline going on this season. Why would the audience care if Bob bought socks from another manufacturer or opened his own manufacturing department? They have made an entire season just about this. There are so many unnecessary characters, and some have only one or two dialogues in the entire episode. I don't know what Abishola's mother is doing in this show, and Bob's brother has no role either. There is no romantic tension going on, and there is only 4-5 minutes of comedy in the entire episode. They should change the genre of this show from comedy to drama because there is literally nothing funny. Just because the actress playing Kemi is the creator of this show, she is getting more scenes and sometimes full episodes focusing on her character and even funnier one-liners. As CBS canceled two of Chuck Lorre's shows, "United States of Al" and "B Positive," they don't want to make Chuck Lorre more angry, which is why they are not canceling this show. Chuck Lorre has already started making new shows on HBO. United States of Al was a better show than this.

Overall, this was a disappointing season. I really hope the fifth one will be better, funnier, or the last season of this.

Garbage Bob
Johnny_West4 December 2023
Never thought Bob was funny, interesting, or otherwise worth watching a TV series about him. The creepy stalker gets his girl, mostly thanks to her not being savvy about the laws against stalkers in the USA. Anger Management class along with a restraining order would have made this series a lot better.

As usually happens with TV shows that have a bizarre premise, this one finally got cancelled. Bob (Billy Gardell) and his freaking weight loss story could not keep the sympathy up forever.

At some point people had to wonder why they were watching this show, and at some point people had to realize that there was nothing to watch. Just two people that would never work out in real life, pushing a story and agenda that was sad, pathetic, and ridiculous.

Abishola deserved better than a creepy sock salesman. Another side note is that I always wondered if this show was ripping off the character of John Candy from Planes, Trains, and Automobiles? That was another reason that I never liked this show. John Candy deserved better than getting his great personality copied by Bob.

Pointless Narration
shlzz8 June 2023
Seriously? Why the pointless narration, to be told exactly what I am seeing. The voice is irritating and not in keeping with the styling of this program. And...the lighting is off, darker. The only highlight in this episode is the scene setting image from the DMC on Mack Avenue (in Detroit) where Bob & Abishola are sitting on a bench discussing their feelings, she about John Hopkins, he about the move or not moving.

Seriously...if it were not for my investment in this show from the series beginning I would be deleting this episode. I sure hope the narration does not continue in the next season.
