Quite good!

Warning: Spoilers
I liked this episode.

1) The emotional conversations between the families, all of them, were nice. Vic overeating was a little weird, but I imagine if your daughter is the only person from your own world that you have with you, you would become overprotective. Besides that, I did not hate the Sarah/Lana/Crissy thing, And the Kents acting was wonderful. I think new Jonathan is a very talented actor.

2) I was glad to see that Lois instincts were right about Peia, even I am still outraged that one of the best reporters in the world, who spent years investigating Manheim, did not know about his wife and son.

3) I was not surprised by Matteo being Manheim son, I suspected that much. But I was happy to see that it was not all a trap for Superman. That the kid really cares for Nat.

4) I wonder if they will find a cure for Peia.

Meh...

Live Reaction / Review for Superman & Lois Season 3 Episode 7: I didn't like episode 5, I really hope this one is better. First ten minutes, not much happening, some cancer related stuff, Natalie's boyfriend, side characters talking to each other for no reason, the kids once again don't listen to Clark etc etc etc. Clark meets Mannheim? Now that's interesting. Lol, the way John looked at Natalie's boyfriend, priceless. Poor Lois apologizing, if she only knew the truth about her ''friend'' Peia. Damn Clark saying ''Someone you care about is sick'' to Mannheim, that was good.

Ok, so now Mannheim's and Peia's secret is not a secret anymore, that's definitely interesting. What's going on with John and Lana? So it seems like in every episode we will talk about Lana's relationship, Natalie's relationship and Kyle's relationship? Wow, so great, amazing. Is that a show about Superman & Lois or not? So they wont use kryptonian technology to cure Lois' cancer because it would be unfair to not share that technology with the rest of the world? What kind of dumb logic is this? Natalie's boyfriend is the son of Mannheim? What? Wow, now that's a plot twist.

Mediocre episode overall, repetitive, it's like watching a previous episode all over again. They need to focus more on Clark & Lois and not so much on all the other side characters. My rating is 6.5/10.

Quite a character study.

Warning: Spoilers
Not a single "Superman vs badguy of the week" in this episode. Almost 100% dealt with family, illness, and what one would do for their loved ones.

Despite that, this was a very powerful, moving entry in the story. You really have to feel for Bruno and Pia.

Of course, the last minutes blew it all up. But still, it was a nice departure from the usual BGoTW story.

Chrissy & her CBD gummies? Hysterical.

Lois recognizing her reporter instincts sometimes screw up a good friendship? Not too shabby.

Still getting used to "Nu Jon", but he's coming along.

Is it me, or am I the only one hoping Kyle and Lana figure it out?

The Mateo reveal at the end though? Interesting. Should be fun to see where that goes.

Overall though, I liked this episode despite the complete lack of tights & capes action.

Bruno becoming my favorite villain
calebzacz14 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, this episode was something else. It's so good when a villain has a powerful motivation to be the bad guy, because we can empathize with him and makes us the audience to have a moral discussion about what's right and wrong. Bruno it's not a villain at all, he's just an antagonist that wants the best to his neighborhood and his lover, and to do so he has to go the wrong way. Still, he is a loving husband, a loving father and a man who stood up for Hob's Bay.

On the other side there's Superman, the definition of hope and doing right. I love how Clark wouldn't use kryponian tec to cure Lois because that means that it wouldn't be fair to keep it only to them, and wouldn't be safe to share it to the world. This season it's so into moral and ethics between our hero and rhe villain around the same topic: "my wife has cancer".

I don't get why many people don't like this season because of the drama, when this show it's called Superman AND Lois.

While season 1 and 2 focused on how power can Superman be, and how even more powerful he most become to defeat Tal-Rho and Alison, this whole season it's focused on the human side of Lois and how vulnerable everyone can be, plus how powerless Clark is because cancer cannot be defeated with muscle and laser beams.

I want Lois to get over with cancer, and i want Bruno to save his wife although his ways are wrong.

Incredible season, love this show soooo much.

PD: it was so hard to watch Lois apologizing even when she was right.

PD2: Matteo being Bruno's son was a twist i didn't expect.

One of the best of the season
BlueMonkey197 May 2023
Incredible character study. Good background on Bruno and Peia but the best part of the episode was the Jonathan stuff, of which I wish there was far more of. His desperation to find anything to help his mother was very relatable and it actually would have been a better episode if we focused on that as the main story.

The new actor, Michael Bishop, is pretty incredible and it was amazing to finally have Clark acknowledge that Jonathan is also half Kryptonian and had a father son moment with him, something which has been denied to Jon for years. I hope this leads to him finally getting his powers because that would be a great story that I've been waiting for for three seasons now!

The rest of the episode was a little meh with Chrissy and Sarah. And they're really trying to push John Henry and Lana together but I'm not feeling any chemistry there. And sadly the twists this season have been mediocre and predictable with the Peia reveal last episode which was only slightly less obvious than the Matteo reveal this episode.

Soap opera & one guy wears a costume
grlym-468497 June 2023
This show has derailed so far I am not sure why it's a superhero titled show.

It feels like Greys anatomy mixed with a teenager CW drama.

I can appreciate bringing real world issues and "lessons" into shows. Often that gives characters depth. And as a soap opera...it executes the xtremely well. But as a superhero show, it is a train wreck.

Each episode I keep wondering "where is this show even going?"

This show really should be called Lana and Lois. Because that is what the show is centered around. And regardless of anything that is done...they are never wrong...because the script will turn it so they are.

And if you want to see superhero stuff, just skip to the last 5 minutes of each episode. Nothing ever all that cheerworthy. It just feels shoved in there and doesn't seem to draw suspense or a wow factor.
