Good movie but missing soul
raviankam52530 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Movie is very good with very good concept with a simple screen play one scenario after another. But movie has missed soul, the take was similar to care of kancheraoalem but looks like it didn't work for this movie. Sampoirnesh habus comedy timing is missing in this movie, may be he tried to express seriousness. At least first few scenes he should have tried innocence with comedy timing. The elevation scenes should have more power to it, for example in the clear max after 2 persons come for support immediately while village is shown, instead after first person his father should have stepped in and few more. New actors did well. If compared with Tamil version of it it lost few points.

"Martin Luther King 2023" is a powerful and timely film that brings the iconic civil rights leader's legacy to the forefront with a fresh perspective. The movie serves as both a tribute to Martin Luther King Jr.'s historic contributions and a reflection on the continued struggle for racial equality in the contemporary world.

The film skillfully intertwines archival footage with dramatized scenes, providing audiences with a glimpse into pivotal moments in King's life while also drawing parallels to current social issues. The cinematography beautifully captures the spirit of the civil rights movement, evoking both the triumphs and tribulations faced by King and his followers.

Sampurnesh delivers a standout performance in the role of Martin Luther King Jr., capturing the essence of his charisma, determination, and unwavering commitment to justice. The supporting cast complements the narrative seamlessly, adding depth to the portrayal of key historical figures.

One of the film's strengths lies in its ability to humanize King, presenting him not just as a symbol of the civil rights movement but as a man with doubts, fears, and personal struggles. This nuanced portrayal allows the audience to connect with King on a more intimate level, fostering a deeper understanding of the sacrifices he made for the cause.

The screenplay strikes a delicate balance between historical accuracy and contemporary relevance. The dialogue is poignant and thought-provoking, resonating with viewers and prompting reflection on the progress made since King's time and the challenges that persist.

The film's soundtrack, featuring a mix of period-specific and modern music, enhances the emotional impact of key scenes, creating a powerful auditory experience that complements the visual storytelling.

While "Martin Luther King 2023" is a compelling tribute to a civil rights icon, it also serves as a call to action, challenging viewers to confront systemic injustices that persist today. In a world still grappling with issues of racial inequality, the film is a reminder that King's dream is a ongoing pursuit, urging audiences to contribute to the ongoing fight for justice and equality.

In conclusion, "Martin Luther King 2023" is a poignant and relevant film that honors the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. While addressing the ongoing struggle for civil rights. With stellar performances, evocative cinematography, and a powerful message, the movie stands as both a historical document and a contemporary rallying cry for justice.

Worth Watching
best-review27 October 2023
The narrative unfolds cohesively around a compelling concept, exhibiting a well-crafted storyline. The screenplay manages to captivate the audience for the majority of its duration. While the Telugu adaptation fares commendably, it's worth noting that the Tamil version shines even brighter in comparison.

The casting choices are impeccable, with each actor delivering commendable performances. In particular, Sompoornesh stands out with a terrific portrayal. The production design, cinematography, and background music are all satisfactory in their execution.

The direction, unfortunately, lacks a distinctive touch, as it closely mirrors the original source material. Nevertheless, if you haven't had the chance to experience the original, this rendition is worth a watch, better in theatres or atleast on OTT platform.

Simply superb
kankesh-galva16 December 2023
Movie is simple and heavy message oriented. A simple and complicated village which is divided into 2 but unitied by 1. Story is the strongest part of this movie with a simple and natural way of projecting a village and it's issues. Director has done very good job.sampu is at his best , he gave his best acting in simplicity and down to earth nature.. songs are less but effective... it's a worth movie to see and enjoy... a beautiful message about the society and it's political drama which needs a strong change...don't miss the movie , especially, if you are love village and politics.... don't miss ending.
