Now You See Me is arguably one of the most underrated heist-thriller franchises of the past decade: despite its high production budgets, star-studded ensemble cast, and absolute commercial success at the global box office, the films have barely been mentioned in the media and on social media platforms nearly 8 years after the release of the second installment.
However, from 2020 to 2023, Lionsgate has been actively releasing information about the upcoming sequel, teasing fans of the film series with updates on the production process. And now, just over a week ago, the media giant announced that Now You See Me 3 is already in post-production, and with that came exciting details about the upcoming cast.
What makes this news so exciting is that Lionsgate will be correcting a mistake that disappointed audiences with the release of the second film, as one of the central and certainly incredibly memorable characters was not able to reprise their role.

Now You See Me 3 is gearing up to roll cameras this year and Dominic Sessa, Justice Smith and Ariana Greenblatt have joined the cast.
Now You See Me 3 is coming out way sooner rather than later as Jesse Eisenberg confirmed that cameras would roll sometime this year. The sequel has been in the works for years, but it seems that it’s truly happening now.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa and Ariana Greenblatt have joined the ensemble cast. Their roles, like the film’s plot, is still being kept under wraps, but one would imagine they might play a new generation of magicians.
Eisenberg seems to be on board and the previous films’ cast, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson and Morgan Freeman are also expected to reprise their roles, but this hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
Now You See Me 3 will be released by Lionsgate.

Less than 24 hours after unveiling exclusive Wicked footage in Las Vegas, filmmaker Jon M. Chu found his way into the spotlight of another CinemaCon stage inside Caesars Palace, this time for a special luncheon in his honor at which he revealed secrets about filming the two-part epic musical.
“It was pretty magical last night,” Chu told The Hollywood Reporter’s co-editor-in-chief Nekesa Mumbi Moody, who moderated a fireside chat with the filmmaker after he was presented a trophy for cultural impact in filmmaking (by his In the Heights star Ariana Greenblatt). Chu has been in the editing room while managing a full household of four young children, so he said that being in Las Vegas where he could sleep and hang out with others, “I’m, like, ‘Let’s go.’”

One year after Universal Pictures debuted the first look at footage from his upcoming two-part musical Wicked at CinemaCon, Jon M. Chu is heading back to Las Vegas for the National Association of Theater Owners’ official convention.
Chu will be the guest of honor at an annual filmmaker luncheon during which he will receive a cultural impact in filmmaking award for a “visionary approach to storytelling and his commitment to representing diverse voices and perspectives.” The Fathom-sponsored event, scheduled for April 11 in the Octavius Ballroom, will also feature a sit-down conversation with Chu.

Change is a big part of "Doctor Who," but it's unusual for news of change to happen as quickly as it's been lately. New companion Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson), who was just introduced in the recent Christmas special "The Church of Ruby Road," already has a replacement ready for her. Variety reports that when season 14 ends, Gibson will exit the show. Varada Sethu will be the new companion in season 15, acting alongside the current Doctor played by Ncuti Gatwa.
Sethu starred in "Jurassic World Dominion," "Now You See Me 2," and most recently as ruthless Rebel infiltrator Cinta Kaz in "Andor," appearing most prominently in the Aldhani heist arc. It might seem too soon for the show to be announcing Sethu as the next companion, but filming on the next season has already begun in Wales. Given how common leaks to the public are in the internet age, it's likely...

It’s a lean month for new original content on HBO/Max. November will see the return of two scripted series in Julia and Rap Sh!t, both of which are debuting their respective second seasons, but this month’s fresh highlight is likely to be Bookie, a new comedy series from the partnership of The Big Bang Theory creator Chuck Lorre, and Nick Bakay. The show tracks an LA bookie called Danny (Sebastian Maniscalco), whose business is in peril as California movies to legalize sports gambling.
Elsewhere in November, there quite a few interesting documentaries to keep an eye on, and two that jump out as “must watch”. The first is Albert Brooks: Defending My Life, which chronicles the aging comedian’s life and career. The second is the previously-released Little Richard: I Am Everything, which tries to peel back the whitewashed canon of Richard Penniman in a true...

With its world premiere at Frightfest only a couple of weeks away, the first teaser trailer for How to Kill Monsters is now available for everyone to watch. For full transparency, I supported the film's Kickstarter campaign because I was so impressed with their campaign trailer, but I haven't see the film yet and I'm as excited as everyone else to check out all of the practical effects and gallons of fake blood!
"The sole survivor of a blood-drenched massacre must team up with a rag-tag bunch of rookie cops and lawbreakers to fight off an invasion of monsters from another dimension.
With a menagerie of monsters realised entirely with practical effects and buckets of fake blood and guts thrown in for good measure, How To Kill Monsters will scratch the itch of horror fans craving a throwback popcorn horror movie that delivers thrills, kills and laughs in equal measure.

Daniel Radcliffe has responded to inquiries about whether he would reprise as Harry Potter for Max’s upcoming in-development episodic adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s novels. The actor spoke to ComicBook.com while promoting the fourth season of TBS’s “Miracle Workers” and shot down the notion while wishing whomever takes his place as “the boy who lived” the best of luck.
“My understanding is that they’re trying to very much start fresh and I’m sure whoever is making them will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere,” Radcliffe stated. “So, I’m definitely not seeking it out in any way. But I do wish them, obviously, all the luck in the world and I’m very excited to have that torch passed. But I don’t think it...

How can Amazon Prime Video followup the first season finale of its biggest series ever in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power? The answer lies in its list of new releases for November 2022.
Understandably, Prime Video is probably pretty tired and won’t be opting for any more Middle-earth spectacle for awhile. In its place, however, are a couple of still intriguing Amazon Original series. British Western drama series The English is set to arrive on Nov. 11 to both Prime Video and BBC Two. Emily Blunt stars as a woman who heads to the American West in 1890 looking for revenge on the man she sees as responsible for the death of her son. Cool! Speaking of the English, the James Corden-starring Mammals also premieres on Nov. 11.

Hugh Jackman may be suiting up to play the X-Men favorite one last time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Deadpool 3, but fans have been rampantly throwing around names for the future MCU incarnation of Wolverine. One name that’s been pretty popular is that of former Harry Potter franchise star Daniel Radcliffe. But don’t hold your breath waiting for Radcliffe’s acceptance of the role.

“With a dash of British humour in the vein of Hot Fuzz and the self-aware twists and turns of Scream, the film will deliver horror fans a blood-soaked popcorn horror movie that will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

Acting and directing were not on Jay Chou’s mind when he first began his music career nearly two decades ago. But over the years, he has accumulated several memorable film and TV roles locally in Asia and in Hollywood. And, between music ventures, he has sat in the film director’s chair.
“I was born to believe in myself and complete my work on my own,” Chou said in a 2012 interview, discussing his work in acting and directing. “Once I understand how something works, I like to do it myself.”
His screen career began in 2005, when Chou made his film debut with the release of car-racing action feature “Initial D,” an on-screen adaptation of the Japanese manga of the same name, directed by Hong Kong’s Andrew Lau and Alan Mak (“Infernal Affairs”).

I will fully admit that I have not thought one second about Jon M. Chu's 2016 magic heist film "Now You See Me 2" since I left the theater except to continuously bemoan the fact that it was not called "Now You Don't". The tales of [checks notes] The Four Horsemen do not stick firmly to the brain. I honestly forgot Daniel Radcliffe plays a significant role in the film.
That is no knock on Radcliffe. He is a wonderful actor, and his post-"Harry Potter" oeuvre is filled with a lot of truly exciting performances. I mean, two weeks...

When a friend told director, writer and actor Missy Malek about a real-life group of disabled drug dealers operating in London, Malek instantly knew she had the makings of a film.
“The second I heard it, I was like, ‘Yes, yes, amazing. Done,” she says. “I know this word is so overused, but it is empowering, the concept of disabled gangsters. Every portrayal of disabled people is always so patronising in the media. And this was the first time a story about disabled people had been put to me that wasn’t patronising.”
The result is “We’re Too Good For This,” a 12-minute short reminiscent of Joe Cornish’s “Attack the Block,” which premieres at the BFI London Film Festival on Saturday. It tells the story of four young people – Scott (Keron Day), Fatima (Asnath Iosala), Anthony (Asa Hems) and Julian (Jayden Reid) – who take revenge on a vindictive...

A decade later, Chu had the opportunity to pitch Miranda the film adaptation, just as Chu found himself at a crossroads, deciding what kind of storyteller he really wanted to be. Having proven himself as a solid commercial director,...

Having made more than enough money to last him a lifetime while still a teenager, Daniel Radcliffe has used his post-Harry Potter career to establish himself as one of the most interesting actors working today. After all, not a lot of stars with his level of fame would dive headfirst into playing white supremacists, a guy with guns surgically bolted onto his hands or farting corpses, with the 30 year-old making a conscious effort to distance himself from the role that made him famous.
That being said, Radcliffe has long since resigned himself to the fact that every interview he does will eventually circle back to Potter in some way, which is to be expected given the enduring popularity of the franchise. While he hasn’t shown much interest in returning to big budget filmmaking besides a small part in Now You See Me 2, he hasn’t completely ruled out...

Pete Chiarelli, who worked on Crazy Rich Asians and Now You See Me 2, is writing the original script. Disney picked up the project as a pitch earlier this year.

Given the changes that occurred between Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2 it’s anyone’s guess as to what the third movie is going to feature, but as far as Jeremy Dick of MovieWeb is describing it there could be a whole new lineup that will interact with the current Four Horsemen, the main actors seen in the last movie. Hopefully the entire cast would be returning for at least a decent run in the movie, but it does sound as though the idea is to move on from what’s already been seen and bring in someone

Lionsgate has hired “American Hustle” scribe Eric Warren Singer to write “Now You See Me 3,” the latest installment in the franchise based on a fresh take by Singer.
The first two movies in the “Now You See Me” series have taken in $687 million worldwide cumulatively. The previous films starred Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Morgan Freeman, among others. No casting has been set yet for the third installment.
Singer’s take will introduce new characters into the world while also creating opportunities for the original cast to reprise their roles.
Jonathan Bayme and his company Theory 11 will serve as a magic consultant to the filmmakers.
Bobby Cohen and Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout are teaming up again to produce. Meredith Wieck and Aaron Edmonds will oversee the project for Lionsgate.

It's been some time since we last heard from the magic franchise, but Lionsgate announced today that they've tapped…...
