Plot; Bev finds out that the wedding ring Murray gave her had first been given to his previous fiancé.

Lots of fun little moments sprinkled throughout here, but it's ultimately an episode that sneaks up on you with its touching conclusion.

It really bugs me that this show says its set in '1980 something'. Basically this is code for them not wanting to commit to a year for fear of the show running for a long time and going into the 90's.

This is another good episode, this show is getting better because it is broadening out its plot variation.

I liked all the 'Say Anything' references, and that they actually let the sister do something for a change.

You can kinda see the "Say Anything" reference coming a mile away (gotta have the Peter Gabriel song in there, too) but not how you think. Adam's grand gesture blows up in his face, and it's a pretty funny scene.

The Gabriel song crops up again elsewhere, and it's to appropriately sweet effect. It's a nice nod to "Sixteen Candles".

Nice is actually a good word for the episode overall.
