A touching look into the life of a sparsely populated Greek island
sbdhenderson18 November 2017
Following the island bus of Tilos we get a glimpse into a small Greek island and the lives of the inhabitants since the Greek economic crisis.

Along with traditional shepherds and elderly people, we meet immigrants who have made this island their home, and one of the first refuges of the Afghan war to make his way to Greece.

Slow moving and beautifully shot, this isn't for those with ADD but is much more an exploration of a land and people trying their best in hard times.

This traditional way of life is set against a backdrop of changing times, the dependence upon the tourist industry and uncertainty about the future.

A view of Humanism
irinibuzz25 October 2017
Is the place or it's people that can make you happy and call it ''home''? What people need is each other. This movie gives an answer to those who still believe in nations, countries and identities. There aren't any. It shows a model community of multi-cultured people that through their difficulties become a team towards the daily struggle. And not in purpose or because someone told them to, but spontaneously. With different backgrounds, tradition, language and culture they manage to care for each other. They laugh, they dance, they work hard, all everyday stuff. The movie share most of it's view between people that have a unique story but it's aspects are many. Humanism, refugees (or emigrants), existentialism, culture, childhood and happiness. Also it presents a very beautiful place with great sunlight. It has a very nice storytelling (the island bus is like a narrator for the movie) and nice photography. The island bus will make you laugh and cry at the same time. But you'll be left with a smile.
