To me, the film focuses a lot on a pseudo- provocative song-text. From the available description is to be taken that the subject of the movie is should one hold on to its originality and message or make compromises for commercial success. In the movie, a man comes in, giving tips for mixing the sound, without fiddling with the message. It is right that a lot of good songs have been spoiled by commercialized sound additions, but the following discussion of the female musicians does not dig very deep into the matter of "staying oneself" or "selling oneself for success". The conflict of a musician between her own identity and a compromise for commercial success is only superficially indicated.
