This show is the best show on television bar none! It is a real tribute to the spirit of commercial fishermen and the people of Newfoundland,with their never give up attitude!I was in awe of theses guys as they ply their trade in the Gulf of St Lawrence and Atlantic Ocean! Despite desperately needing a good catch,Conway and Rick stop fishing on several occasions to help their fellow fishermen out of trouble,when in need!The rest of the world should take notice at how the people of Newfoundland help one another and expect nothing in return! Keep up the good work guys, I can hardly wait until season 2 starts!

This reality show should really be placed in the Comedy show category, I don't think that I've laughed so much watching a bunch of totally incompetent fishermen in all my life, they go from one catastrophe to another, not just once, but seemingly everyday, how on earth they make a living absolutely beggars belief, saying that, due to what can only be described as 'the luck of the Irish' they occasionally get things right, god knows how, but they do manage to land the occasional boatload of fish. Throughly enjoyable show, especially when you need a really good laugh to cheer yourself up......look forward to more side splitting antics from this bunch of misfits in the next series....

For anyone who don't know the fishing industry, it is not an easy job. There are some good times and a lot of bad times. Nothing comes easy, especially when you have to battle the weather here off the coast of Newfoundland. These boats are not big boats, but a lot of the time the seas are. In this industry everything that can go wrong will eventually go wrong. I think they do a wonderful job given the conditions in which they work. So for anyone that think they are only putting on an act...come and give it a try yourself. I bet you will have a totally different opinion once you try it.
