My first review so maybe not going to be my best... I appreciated the different paces or the film and the cinematography but I'm not sure I got into the characters. Some stuck out as too clichéd.

The film kept me interested to the end, but did I really care what happened to the character in the end? Not really. Some emotional aspects seemed under-developed, possibly intentionally but this left me feeling a bit disconnected from the unfolding events.

Its a well put together story, playing with the chronology of scenes and colour, and keeps within the realms of realism which is refreshing, but didn't bring much new to the table or hit any strong notes. Better than average, a strong seven but lacks the punch of an 8.

The runaway ran away with eight awards! it's a captivating character driven thrill-ride, A must see film, This film is fantastic, I watched it for the first time as a reviewer for the festival authority at the Big House Los Angeles Entertainment Festival, later I watched it again on the big screen at the festival, the characters were amazing, the festival held an encore screening a week after it's premiere, audience participation in the indie film playoff chose the film as one of the top feature films for the entire 15 day film festival at lalive regal cinemas in 2015. There is nothing going on for this flick. Mediocre story about a runaway rebel, done on a shoestring budget. Amateur directing and acting, cheap sets, sorry music, laughable final showdown ... I would give it an additional pity star if it weren't for all those 'raves', but, at the end, only 2/10. Parting advice - cheap pathos kills the grit...
