This one here got certainly more awards recognition than the first, but I personally am not sure if I would say it was better. But roughly the same, I guess. I enjoyed the first film and this one here is an entertaining 90 minutes of crime television as well. With some humor and nice little quirks from all the protagonists.

The female main character seems to have learned a bit and is more of a professional than in the first movie. And Alexander Held gets more screen time here, which is not surprising looking at his body of experience and films he appeared in. The filmmakers are not scared of anything. Depicting violence and murder, even severely injuring the central characters are no taboos here. And also the other characters are interesting, the two bizarre suspects and the brother of the victim who seems to be on a revenge path. He is played by Maximilian Brückner, who may be known to some with an interest in German cinema. Good story and with writing like that, there is hope for German television. The writers are the same duo as in the first film, the director is somebody else. Actually, it is one of the writers from "23", a famous German movie starring August Diehl. I recommend watching this München Mord sequel. I enjoyed it. It has charm, tension and a great showdown at the end. I hope there will be new additions to the franchise soon.
