If Coachella stages were categorized as internet slang, last week, Heineken House was the Iykyk (If you know, you know) of the nation’s most prominent music festival. Tucked away in the corner of the Empire Polo Club grounds on the festival’s opening weekend, Heineken set up the perfect oasis to bop your head, sip a lager, and take a beat to lounge in the grass while getting away from the crowds — until, of course, the crowds caught word and made their way inside.

In August 2001, Kyle Hausmann-Stokes had just graduated from high school and wanted to escape the confines of his native Wisconsin. So he enlisted in the Army. Then 9/11 happened, and the teen would eventually head to Iraq, where he became a paratrooper. As his three-year enlistment was about to end, he was hit with a stop-loss order, an involuntary extension of active duty.
“I’m crushed. I have these big plans to go to film school,” Hausmann-Stokes remembers. “I get a call one night that the colonel wants to see me in his office. I was known throughout the battalion as the film guy. I was always secretly making films of our airborne jumps and our jungle warfare training. The colonel said, ‘I think you might be destined for something different than going to war with us right now. I’ve made arrangements for you and only you to be exempt from this stop-loss.

Emily Ratajkowski is in final talks to join the cast of Lena Dunham’s upcoming Netflix comedy series “Too Much,” Variety has learned exclusively from sources.
She joins previously announced series leads Megan Stalter and Will Sharpe. Variety exclusively reported the series was in the works back in December.
Netflix declined to comment.
“Too Much” follows Jessica (Stalter), described as “a New York workaholic in her mid-30s who is reeling from a broken relationship that she thought would last forever and slowly isolating everyone she knows. When every block in New York tells a story of her own bad behavior, the only solution is to take a job in London, where she plans to live a life of solitude like a Brontë sister. But when she meets Felix (Sharpe) — who is less Hugh Grant in ‘Notting Hill’ and more Hugh Grant’s drunken roommate — she finds that their unusual connection is impossible to ignore,...

Zac Efron has accomplished a feat that Disney stars historically struggle with: making a smooth transition from teen idol to adult actor. For a decade and counting, Efron's name has been nearly synonymous with the word "heartthrob." Ask someone who their celebrity crush is, and there's a good chance they'll name the "High School Musical" alum. But over the last 17 years, Efron has charted a steady and increasingly impressive path for himself in the film industry, proving he's here to stay.
Efron has carved out a niche that suits his talents, starring in primarily comedies and musicals, and while his catalog includes plenty of films that weren't critical or commercial hits, his talent shines through regardless. Further, with starring roles in dramas like "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile" and "The Iron Claw," Efron is currently making a major transition to serious, dramatic work. It's a challenge he's proven he can handle.

Emily Ratajkowksi has “basically quit” acting.
Ratajkowski, 31, revealed that her last audition was for Ruben Ostlund’s satire Triangle of Sadness. She had gone up for the role that eventually went to the late Charlbi Dean Kriek.
The model and author landed her first role in a major film in 2014’s Gone Girl, starring as Andie, the mistress of Ben Affleck’s character.
Following that, she told The LA Times that her team began working on finding parts to prove she was a “serious actress with longevity”.
She went on to star opposite Zac Efron in We Are Your Friends, Amy Schumer in I Feel Pretty, and Marc Maron in an episode of Netflix’s series Easy.
During this time, however, Ratajkowski said she “felt like a piece of meat”.

Emily Ratajkowski announced in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times that she has basically quit acting because Hollywood is so “fucked up.” The supermodel started her acting career in a major way with a supporting role opposite Ben Affleck in David Fincher’s “Gone Girl.” Ratajkowski played Andie Fitzgerald, a student of Nick Dunne’s (Affleck) who is also having an affair with him. Emily Ratajkowski is probably best known for her work as a model, but she also has an acting resume. And while her parts in movies like Gone Girl and I Feel Pretty have garnered the most attention, her acting debut was on the hit Nickelodeon series iCarly.
In 2020, producer Jay Kogen announced the show would be getting a revival. Though Ratajkowski’s role in the original sitcom was small, some fans hoped she would return for the reboot. As it turns out, the actor is down for it.

It's a tale as old as time: heavy-metal drummer follows viral social media sensation, arranges to meet her in real life, and falls in love. Ok, maybe not, but that's the modern love story of 59-year-old Mötley Crüe cofounder Tommy Lee and 35-year-old former Vine star Brittany Furlan, who tied the knot on Valentine's Day in 2019, exactly one year after they got engaged.
This is the drummer's fourth marriage, but it's the first for Furlan, as well as her first fulfilling relationship. As she said in the 2018 Netflix documentary "The American Meme," "I met someone who I can trust because I didn't trust anybody that I've dated before. I'd say Tommy is my first true love and I am finally safe and happy." Despite their unconventional start, you have to admit that's pretty sweet.

This far into his screen career, it shouldn’t be a revelation to anyone that Zac Efron can act. He’s shown canny comic chops in the “Neighbors” films, wounded all-American ennui in “We Are Your Friends” and “At Any Price,” even a credible against-type chill as Ted Bundy in “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile” — none of which has been enough to overtake his bland, floppy-banged, career-minting “High School Musical” persona in the popular imagination.
In “Gold,” an otherwise ordinary survival thriller from actor-director Anthony Hayes, Efron resorts to the same kind of extreme measures that fellow heartthrob Ryan Reynolds took to prove his worth in “Buried”: headlining a one-location genre piece so leanly conceived that it has scarcely anything to showcase but his commitment and grit. As a lone drifter guarding a precious quarry in deadly desert conditions in a faintly futuristic nowhereland, he’s good, as...

There’s a lot of great new stuff coming to Netflix in January, with over 75 titles being added to the streaming giant’s library over the course of next month. Netflix pulled out all the stops towards the end of 2019, as the company launched the most robust slate of awards season titles in its brief history. Of course, the Oscar gold rush doesn’t leave the streamer or any of its competitors with much to offer at the start of the new year, and so Netflix’s January is extremely light on original fare.
To make up for it, the company is offering a grab bag of irrefutable favorites, many of which feed into current awards campaigns in one way or another. Anyone still high off the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” fumes will be happy to find “Catch Me if You Can” and “Kill Bill” back on the platform, while “Joker” fans can parse “The Master” for shades of Arthur Fleck. Other gems, like Hikari’s “37 Seconds” and Max Joseph’s criminally dismissed “We Are Your Friends” are...

The star’s charismatic and creepy performance as the notorious serial killer is the best thing about an otherwise pedestrian and graceless drama
In terms of tantalising Sundance prospects, the idea of watching Zac Efron play Ted Bundy has charmed its way to the top, morbid curiosity attaching itself to what screams of flashy stunt casting. The ex-Disney heartthrob graduated from the High School Musical franchise to a spotty adult career, showing comic skills in two sharp Neighbors films but struggling to make dross like We Are Your Friends, Baywatch or Dirty Grandpa feel remotely necessary.

Here’s a quick question that should serve as a surreal gut-check for modern entertainment: How many episodes of “Queen America,” the latest serialized offering for Facebook’s 2 billion-plus users, are available now?
Figure it out? Did you have to quickly Google “Queen America Facebook” or scan Catherine Zeta-Jones’ IMDb page first? Odds are high outside research was required, given that three episodes of “Queen America” quietly dropped Monday on Facebook Watch, marking the latest attempt by the streaming giant to stand out in the market for streaming options.
Created by Meaghan Oppenheimer (co-writer on the under-appreciated 2015 Zac Efron DJ picture “We Are Your Friends”), “Queen America” is one of those half-hour shows billed as a “black comedy” but that’s really just a drama with a few caustic jokes. In the pilot, Zeta-Jones’ popular beauty pageant coach tears up an Australian contest judge, dropping belittling joke after belittling joke...

"This would be a terrible pair up," another added. However, some were loving the idea. "I’ve never seen so many Petty Betty’s in one comment thread," one joked. "I’m down for this." The cast of Amy Schumer’s new comedy, I Feel Pretty, is starting to come together. The movie, which initial reports were intentionally vague about, centers on a woman (Schumer) who goes from being wracked with insecurities to moving through life with all the confidence of a beautiful woman, after either injuring her head or falling under a spell (but definitely not from just ignoring the media and learning to love herself on her own terms or anything. Wait, did we just give away the ending?). In any case, the Schumer character will work hard to impress her boss, who will be played by Michelle Williams, both before and after her sudden spike in assertiveness.
Additionally, Deadline reports that Emily Ratajkowski, of Gone Girl and We Are Your Friends, has signed on in some unknown role. But the publication’s follow-up does indicate that the central character ends up feeling...

Beach Boy: Interview with Baywatch's Zac EfronBeach Boy: Interview with Baywatch's Zac EfronBob Strauss - Cineplex Magazine5/24/2017 10:27:00 Am
Baywatch was the most popular internationally syndicated TV series of the 1990s. And even though the drama about Southern California lifeguards often unfolded like self-parody — its appeal rested mainly on a swimsuit-clad Pamela Anderson running down the beach in slow motion and David Hasselhoff’s questionable emoting — it took itself as seriously as a show based on eye candy could.
This year’s movie version of Baywatch knows better than to do that. It’s consciously a comedy (the director, Seth Gordon, has given us Identity Thief, Horrible Bosses and TV’s The Goldbergs). And according to Zac Efron, one of the film’s stars, there are numerous other improvements.
“The movie has a little more to it,” Efron, 29, says during a chat on the Universal Studios backlot just outside Los Angeles.

Emily Ratajkowski is no stranger to showing skin, and we love her for it. The nearly 26-year-old model - who starred in Gone Girl, We Are Your Friends, and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" video - frequently shares photos of herself in the buff on social media and has made insightful statements about sexuality. Back in February 2016, she penned an essay for Lenny Letter in which she discussed women's rights to embrace their sexuality in whatever way they choose. "Where can girls look to see women who find empowerment in deciding when and how to be or feel sexual?" she wrote. "Even if being sexualized by society's gaze is demeaning, there must be a space where women can still be sexual when they choose to be." Take a look at all the times Emily made a movement out of going nude. RelatedEach and Every Star Baring It All on Instagram...

Emily Ratajkowski will not apologize for her sexy Instagram snaps.
The 25-year-old model covers InStyle's March issue, in which she talks about her colorful upbringing and her right to express her sexuality. Ratajkowski, who shares that her mother -- an English professor -- gave her a copy of Naomi Wolf's Promiscuities: The Secret Struggle for Womanhood when she was 12, fights against the notion that sexually expressive women are seen as attention-seeking.
"The main criticism that I get is, 'Aren't you just conforming to a patriarchal standard of beauty?'" Ratajkowski says. "Well, this is just the body I was given. I didn't do anything to it -- it's just my body. But even if I had altered it, that would be fine too."
