Amber's behaviour is frustrating, perhaps even more so than Terese's over-the-top vindictiveness as she takes on Paul's role of abusing her position to get petty revenge. It feels like we're meant to think Daniel's casual attitude is wrong but it's better than Amber's self-flagellation when she'd be better off shrugging off losing a few people that aren't worth having in her life and enjoying her new relationship.
Paul's storyline seems to be heading back into familiar territory, with his bitterness about losing the mayorship(temporarily, it seems)and paranoia. It's reached the point where Karl's fighting a losing battle, yet just giving up seems impossible.
Susan and Toadie charge around trying to find out who EM Williams is and coming up with outlandish theories.Susan thankfully manages to dodge the most outlandish and we get a non-reveal cliffhanger that looks like we're not going to get the answer any time soon.
