The show opens with footage of Bob Backlund campaigning outside the arena. The first match is Savio Vega versus jobber Kenny Kendall. We see a music video of Diesel's theme song. Ted DiBiase, Tatanka and Sid cut promos on Diesel. We see a Bodydonna vignette before Bodydonna Skip faces perennial jobber Barry Horowitz. Todd Pettengill (who finally cut off his mullet) gives the King of the Ring Report. From a different arena, Owen Hart faces Davey Boy Smith in a King of the Ring qualifying match. We see a Jerry Lawler vignette about his stinky feet (seriously). Vince McMahon interviews Bret Hart about his upcoming "Kiss My Foot" match with Jerry Lawler. Jean-Pierre LaFitte makes short work of future WCW midcarder Jerry Flynn. We see more of Bob Backlund ranting outside the arena. The show ends with a recap of Yokozuna's feud with Lex Luger. The Owen versus Smith match is worth watching.
