One of the better for me.

I liked this one more than I did others because I felt it had more elements combined that he would later use in his Annabelle take on.

A little idea quite nicely executed, with a better ending than most, Attic Panic delivers in just under 3 minutes. I guess you could figure out the ending by the half mark, but by then it is already too late for the character involved. And you get to feel some chills down your spine.

Nice one! I'd love for a mini-series of short horror movies! Great way to start your day!

Cheers!

Not my favorite Sandberg, but still good

Warning: Spoilers
"Attic Panis" is a live action short film from last year and another collaboration by David F. Sandberg and Lotte Losten. I really like some of Sandberg's works as they were horror in a way that it really scares and entertains me. This one here I would not count among my very favorites, but it was still a decent watch. I guess it all comes down to how scary I find the monster and I usually prefer the invisible ones. That's why the film was also at its best for me the moment she took away the bed sheet from him. Bad bad idea! The location was also a nice choice. Attics are always scary. Also nice to see the director act this time, even if only in costume. As a whole, I recommend this movie. Sandberg keeps delivering for sure with this one here and not everyone can be a triumph. Still, these films are a perfect example on how to make a good (horror) film, even with little budget. Creativity prevails. I recommend "Attic Panic".

Cleverly Executed

This has less of the jump out element and more of a story. A woman is in some kind of room where things are stored. There are cages. She finds she has inadvertently locked herself in when she notices someone in a sheet standing across from her. What happens next is quite clever and makes this a cut above most of these little thrillers.

brilliant

It is the essence of horror, in Gothic tradition, reflected by "Attic Panic". and this does it real good. not only as short film. but as usefull lesson about the rules of genre, reflected by minimalistic but real working tools. a film about ...mistery. about sources of fear. about the mistake changing everything. about fascination as source of fear. and, maybe, interesting support for discover few "Annabell" nuances.

Not as good as Sandbergs other films but still okay. Warning: Spoilers
This film had its moments. The attic was a creepy setting. The lead woman did an okay job acting. The atmosphere was not overly dark or atmospheric but had a subtle creepy tone. The directing is okay, and so is the writing. The plot follows a woman trapped in an attic with a figure under a white sheet. I personally like the idea of an entity/ghost under a sheet, chasing someone, the idea is creepy. The sound effects were subtle and not over the top and sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. Here I thought it was just okay. The suspense was alright, especially the scene where the woman locks herself behind a caged door to protect herself from the entity. Was it a little bit silly? Yes, since ghosts can go through doors. But it made sense considering the woman was trapped in the attic and had nowhere else to run. I like the film okay but this should have been longer so we got more character development. Overall it's still worth a watch.

Definitely not a favourite, but a solid recommended

This for sure isn't my favourite Sandberg short movie. It's not the best for sure, but damn is it good.

However, this was full of suspense. It really had me on the edge of my sheet and I had to keep pausing it and coming back to it after a little while of calming my nerves. It took me way too long to get through this, way too long.

But that's what Sandberg does best. He plays with suspense and makes you feel uncomfortable and makes you tense up. I had such bad anxiety watching this, it was brilliant. I'm definitely very paranoid about going up into my attic after this one.

'Attic Panic (2015)' was partially recreated in 'Annabelle: Creation (2017)' (the scene in the barn with the scarecrow) and it's not hard to see why. This is a confident, competent and atmospheric short film. Its 'creature', if you can call it that, is inventive and enjoyable; the subtle special effects used to bring it to life are incredibly convincing. The piece has a solid atmosphere and a strong build-up of tension, ultimately culminating in a satisfying final scare that doesn't feel cheap in any way. It's a really great short overall. 8/10.

Now this one works. The atmosphere is perfect and it's not ruined at all by a goofy ending. Masterclass in horror filmmaking here !!!!
