The epitome of emptiness in today's music landscape

Warning: Spoilers
Here we have "On the Floor", a 4.5-minute music video from 2011 that was produced to support the song mentioned in the title and the performers are Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull. Well, I must say I did not like it at all. We hear Pitbull very early and very late during the song and I am not too surprised he did virtually nothing for me as I am neither a fan of him nor really of his genre. But I did like some of the early stuff Lopez did in her career and it's kinda sad to see how weak she has become. Sure she was never the most talented singer in terms of vocals, but at least her songs had some kind of message and were also pretty catchy. Well, many people find this one catchy too I guess, but me not that much. But you can't really blame him if you take a look at the success this one had in so many countries where it became number one, also a huge hit in the United States and almost Top10 of the year, even if it "only" made it to number 3 in the weekly charts. So yeah it's loud, wild and full of effects and at the same time as empty and generic as a music video and song could be. Extremely disappointing outcome here I must say and I'm glad it was this short. The lyrics could not feel any more irrelevant either. I think you should skip this one, both record and video. Highly not recommended.

A beautifully glamorous video

I love this song, as it upbeat and super catchy. The video is very glamorous, and captures the uplifting energy of the song very well. Even though the product placements are a bit obvious, it is still a great video.
