Well, maybe not, since that goose is pretty well behaved, and they are not very pleasant birds, except when you're eating them. This one is calmer than any goose, wild or domestic. Did you know there are prisons that use geese to keep hardened criminals from escaping?

Anyway, in this one, Monty Banks is chasing a goose into a thrill comedy situation. Climbing over drainpipes when Catherine Bennett belts him with a dumb bell, and dangling from the inevitable flagpole.

There's clearly more to this short than that, since William Blaisdell is listed as Monty's rival -- for Miss Bennett, I would guess, rather than the goose. But you can never tell with a silent comedy. Maybe the missing footage will turn up eventually.
