A Typical Filler Episode,

How Lisa Got Her Marge Back is a good Simpsons episode with a reasonably well written storyline and some very funny scenes. There are certainly moments that give this a deserved seven, I particularly enjoyed the parody of Broadway, the Bad News Bears: The Musical was a funny segment, and Lisa's rendition of "Don't Rain On My Parade"' was well constructed. However, the episode is low on plot and nowhere near compelling, the conflict that arises between Marge and Lisa in the beginning seemed like an interesting story was to come, but once they go to Capital City, there is no more plot. Bart's side story was also weak and never became as fun as it could have been, the whole twenty minutes felt like filler, nothing outstanding whatsoever, never delivering its potential. It is flawed and forgetful, but How Lisa Got Her Marge Back is enjoyable while it lasts.

Marge and Lisa go on a trip to Capital City after Marge admits her dislike for jazz, meanwhile, Bart begins to struggle with his pranks.

Not a bad episode for Lisa and Marge.

Warning: Spoilers
Basically on these current Simpsons seasons Lisa is hated for knowing to ruin things the other members of the Simpsons family has, Marge also is another that does the same, but this one sees them both likeable and really goes through their bond as mother and daughter. Lisa gets upset at Marge for her pretending to enjoy and like her interest in Jazz music and takes off the pearls that she gave her, and even calling her "Marjorie". Homer doesn't seem to think that's a big deal since Bart sometimes calls him Homer instead of Dad. And speaking of Bart, he tries to do pranks as usual but he thinks they went stale, and surprisingly enough, bonding with Maggie helped him do pranks again, but after Homer thinks that he went far, he stopped using Maggie in his pranks. Back with Lisa and Marge, Marge tries to bring her bond back with Lisa by taking her to Capitol City and showing her a play, which she didn't like, but after hanging out with a celebrity she then realized that they both have different interests that they both don't agree with and they don't really have to like the same things. The celebrity was actually interested in her saxophone playing and she then bursted into a musical number. Marge and Lisa then enjoy a tour bus ride that didn't seem that great but they liked it anyways. Yeah there are many episodes that have Lisa and Marge being unlikable but this one isn't it, it was a good episode that goes through their bonds and with the lesson that everyone has interests but you still can be friends even with different likes and dislikes.
