Showcases the best craftspeople in the USA
david-170791 November 2016
Jill's excitement is contagious and her wit compelling. Her rapport with others is outstanding, and it makes the show feel upbeat and fun. She clearly respects the hard work and craftsmanship of the people she's featuring, and this pulls the audience into the show. Handcrafted America is fast paced and interesting. It showcases the greatest craftspeople in the US, and I learn something totally new each time I watch it. It's the kind of show you can watch with family and even try some of the simpler techniques at home. I hope this motivates others to take up the cause of creating handcrafted products that are high quality and unique. It has certainly motivated me to do so. I hope they put the show online at some point as it would be make a terrific web series, as well.

Loved it
paigejohnston-513523 November 2016
This show is such a great thing to have on this network! I Really loved all the segments and watching the artists and everything they go through to create their art. It's amazing to be able to see all the detailed work and the entire process instead of just seeing the final version. And it is done in such a way that it's actually fun to watch. The host is really charming and adds most of the fun to the show. I told my neighbors about the show and they had seen her on Wipeout before and they said they had always loved her, so they were excited to catch the next episode. I'm not surprised she has a following. It made me want to get in a studio and make something interesting.

overview of the spur making segment
cwendt-9888731 October 2016
I got to view the segment on spur making that was filmed in my shop last July. I was amazed and impressed with the professionalism of the support crew doing the filming. They captured the steps and techniques of spur making in perfect order.

Jill was a hoot to work with, having never met her and not knowing anything about her, she made me feel at ease and was fun to work with and banter back and forth with.

I have seen all the Hand Craft America from last year and look forward to seeing all of the coming shows. After having been part of the filming I know that when I see someone making something it is the real deal and not some fake show where somewhere off camera a crew is doing the actual work.

Hats of to a great crew and great show, I hope you continue for years to come.

Surprisingly enjoyable.

The premise for "Handcrafted America" is quite simple. The host travels across the United States highlighting the work of three expert craftsmen and women each episode. You see their work, you see them making their craft and you often see the host try her hand at making the items. It's so simple....yet oddly enjoyable and satisfying. Now I know this sort of show won't appeal to everyone. But if you enjoy watching crafting (such as with "Making It") but hate the super-annoying hosts or judges (again, "Making It"), then "Handcrafted America" is for you, as the host is generally professional, not annoying and never mentions Etsy once! My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that some of these artisans are brilliant artists and a few are far less impressive. Still, the overall style of the show is relaxing and enjoyable to watch. Nice mindless fun...and I mean that in a good way.

Background music too loud
dreddoch6 November 2017
We really enjoy this show but the background music is so loud we cannot hear the comments and we turn down the music we can't hear the comments. Why does the music have to be so loud, it spoils the show. Please do something about the loud music so we can enjoy the show. Thank you ,David and Gwen Reddoch in North Little Rock, Ar.

Good show/childish host
smithtrina4 February 2017
The show itself would be entertaining with a host who sounds REAL and not someone who is obviously over-acting. She seems to be trying to draw attention to herself by laughing at everything and making funny faces. What a goof!! I can't watch the show with such a fake and goofy-acting host when I really want to see the artisans..the real talent. I am a fine art artist (painter and sculptor) and I would hate to think I was being interviewed by such an inadequate host. The artists\craftspeople that are featured on the show are very talented professionals and deserve better than an over- enthusiastic, fake, childish host.
