I'm a big fan of The Grinder and it's a shame it didn't get renewed for a second season due to low ratings:( But having said that, it's a credit to the fans who support this show, demonstrated by the fact that this episode alone has almost 100 IMDb votes already.
One of the underlying themes of this episode was the influence of focus groups, whether it be for The Grinder, and also assessing Dean Sanderson Sr's upcoming trial appearance. Seeing the dynamics in the focus group at the beginning of the episode was quite telling, when one person changed her views because no-one else agreed with her.
Due credit to Melvin Mar, one of the Executive Producers of this fine series that deserves more than one season.
