Disagreeable producer Dominik (seriously with a K?) and his geek co-worker (Mike Kopera) go to a remote location as a getaway. Dominik drags along a girlfriend Lora Boyne (Brooke Heatley). While hiking in the woods, they come across a cabin, which is also a lab who does not want to be discovered. We then go into a manhunt film. The DVD cover promises a Butch/Sundance scene that was as a camera cut away.

I didn't connect with any of the characters, except the ones that got killed early. Drama with guys running in the woods with occasional gunfire and flashback to break up the boredom.

I stumbled across this flick while surfing my Amazon Prime. I've been on a post-apocalyptic world Film Fest lately. I previewed the trailer and it looked interesting at first glance. Then I started it. Did not take long to notice that the acting seemed sporadic. Filmmaker never really did try to connect to audience by providing a likeable character. I suppose if I were to pick one character that halfway someone could relate to probably be Eddie. His buddy Dominique, spelling could be different. But in the end it really doesn't matter the movie is flat ,soundtrack nonexistent. The pace of the film was a dogged. The villains in the movie are just as ass backward. The female villain could have just got the part due to her attractive package. What little suspense there was is overshadowed my poor performance. And on a positive note the cinematography wasn't that bad. P.S. in the flashbacks what sums up Eddie's character is his lack of realistic facial expressions. Yet in the end he's a hero of the film. Three stars for whoever got financing for this movie must be a genius in pitching movie ideas.

Reckless Dominick (a solid performance by Alex Harney) and his more sensible straight-laced buddy Eddie (an equally sound portrayal by Mike Kopera) are at the end of their ropes with their extremely strained friendship and business partnership. The pair are forced to work together in order to stay alive after they run afoul of evil meth dealers during a camping trip in the deep wilderness.

Writer/director Steve Kopera keeps the absorbing story moving along at a constant pace, takes time to develop the main characters, makes nice use of the breathtakingly beautiful sylvan scenery, and generates a good deal of tension. The sturdy acting from the capable cast keeps this movie humming: Juan Monsalvez as ruthless ringleader Seth, Jeneta St. Clair as the icy and vicious Big Em, Tevis R. Marcum as brutish lackey Banks, and Brooke Heatley as Dominik's no-nonsense girlfriend Lora. Oren Benamor's sharp cinematography gives this picture an attractive bright look. A cool little flick.
