I remember This Note's For You when it debuted in 1988, so 36 years ago, wow, almost four decades ago, and it's very prescient in terms of corporate sponsorship. In fact, I think it's got far more pronounced and serious, although I think corporate sponsorship is what it is, and Wayne's World also had a hilariously accurate scene about corporate sponsorship.
Anyway, we see now pretty much everything is sponsored, with some more sponsored than others, and rock stars are no different. Money is what's needed to keep the fuel going and continue until retirement so one can rest and retire in comfort.
