This very short episode of "American Masters" is about the legendary country music super group, The Highwaymen. The show is about Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson and their unlikely friendship as well as lots of concert footage of their concerts together. The music was very enjoyable and alone is reason to watch the show. However, if you want an in depth discussion of The Highwaymen or a discussion of the individual members' lives or careers, then it does come up a bit short. It seems like the show just assumes you know about the four men....and if you don't it might be a tad frustrating. But regardless, if you just enjoy the music and don't demand more, then you'll likely enjoy the program.
