I usually enjoy Sport Films and here was no exception. Russian films overall arent good but lately they are rising their level. This movie, is about one of the most controversial moments in the history of Sport, for some people what happened in the Olympics Games of Munich 72´ was an awful moment, but if we see the other side of the story, the URSS team made a miracle, and they are completly heroes. They were the first team to beat the US basketball team, they dominated the whole match but the last 3 seconds. It is amazing to see another perspective but with high cinematography quality. I recommend it to any sport fan, think of this like a Russian version of the "Miracle on ice". Emotive and makes you feel relative with the underdog.

After watching the Russian shoot of this "kill Munich", not bad, the plot value of four stars, to five stars, more than one star to that in the cold war era broke the unilateralism of the United States and balanced the bipolar pattern of the former Soviet union! I have played basketball for 20 years for now and therefore studied the game history as well. It's a beautifully made movie, but with a lot of bad and over the limit details. Most annoying detail of the movie - if you ever are going to make historic basketball movie - get the correct basketball rims from that time, man. The softer, unbreakable rims with springs came tens of years later. That hurt my eyes. Secondly, please be real, russians throwing down between the legs dunks... Even in today's NBA I haven't seen that being done in-game. Not to mention all the other flashy and also pointguard dunks performed by russian players. The players in that era moved like robots, most of them. Elgin Baylor and Dr. J were the first ones to really play the game with more smoothly body movement. To me the russians just wanted to show off with the inaccurate and overly imposed basketball game as if the have some complexes with the final game. And they should not be so heroic with that Olympic game win because it was a total fiasco of the century in basketball sense. If the timeout is missed by the referee then that's it. Even worse, who was this baldy to go and tell table referees what to do. That's an Olympic final for gods sake! And I am from a country that was under Soviet Union control in that time. Anyway, not a total waste of time if you are not a basketball freak like me.

(beware of spoilers!!!)To be honest, I very rarely watch movies, and often forget their plot. But this movie is one of the few that I remember well despite the fact that I watched it a few years ago. The main idea of the plot is to show that everything is possible. When a new coach came to the USSR team, he was sure of the victory over America, while the whole team did not believe in their strength. The coach always helped the team, gave his last money so that they would prove to the whole world that they were worthy of victory. Despite all the problems of the team members, they won the tournament, and the money they won was given to the operation of the coach's son. I remember going to the cinema for this movie in 2017. I was skeptical about Russian cinema, but decided to go because of the recommendations of friends. Throughout the film, I couldn't take my eyes off, it was so gripping and breathtaking. I remember what emotions not only I felt, but the whole audience felt when watching the movie. If you lack motivation and inspiration, you haven't experienced vivid emotions while watching a movie for a long time, then you definitely need to watch this movie. Despite the fact that this film was still panned and unconvincing for some critics, I can say with confidence that this is one of the best Russian films that I have ever watched.
