This show seems to have gone up a notch in recent episodes in terms of the drama, as J. J begins to want more independence in his life.
This is all wonderfully portrayed, and 'Speechless' certainly doesn't go for the glossy/picture perfect version of how that would play out.
It's all very well written and performed, with Minnie Driver once again on top form as Maya.
Overall, this is another good episode of the show, and things seem like they are building now to the end of series one finale. This won't be a big dramatic episode I assume, but will be as quietly meaningful as nearly all the episodes have been so far.
