Peter Ramsey, Caleeb Pinkett Producing Live-Action Feature Adaptation Of Comic Book ‘The Storm Clan’
Exclusive: Academy Award winner Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and former Overbook head Caleeb Pinkett (Cobra Kai) are set to produce a live-action feature adaptation of The Storm Clan, the comic book created by Dallas Jackson and Joe Casey, which marks the first title from Jackson’s new company DJ Classicz Comix.
Jackson and Casey will pen the script, with former Lionsgate exec Jorge Alfaro to serve as an EP.
A sci-fi action adventure story, The Storm Clan watches as an ex-military weapons engineer trains his five adopted children to be undercover hi-tech/martial-arts thieves wearing an invincible bionic-body armor. Previously orphaned, the teenagers gifted with bionic technology see it provide them with the opportunity to protect themselves from the threats of the streets, also empowering them to take advantage of life instead of being taken advantage of, and most importantly, giving them comfort and sense of belonging within a family.

Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer are ramping up their next acts at Netflix.
Ten days after announcing an animated series set within the Stranger Things universe, the Duffer brothers have scored a series order for The Boroughs, a sci-fi drama from The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance duo Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews.
The project, which was first announced last July as part of their nine-figure overall deal with the streamer, is based on an original idea from Addiss and Matthews. The Boroughs takes place in a seemingly picturesque retirement community in the New Mexico desert and, like Stranger Things, revolves around a group of unlikely heroes who must band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don’t have: time.

Cara Delevingne Says Concerning Paparazzi Images Led to Rehab Stay, Sobriety Journey: “I Was Not Ok”
Cara Delevingne sparked widespread concern after paparazzi images captured at a private airport in L.A. last September showed the model and actress looking disheveled and acting erratically upon returning from Burning Man. Now, in a revealing cover interview with Vogue, the 30-year-old said she’s grateful for those images because it sent her on a path to rehab and sobriety.
“I hadn’t slept. I was not Ok,” she told Vogue writer Chioma Nnadi. “It’s heartbreaking because I thought I was having fun, but at some point it was like, Ok, I don’t look well. You know, sometimes you need a reality check, so in a way those pictures were something to be grateful for.”
For the interview, conducted in late January, Delevingne confessed that she was four months sober after a stint in rehab late last year. “I’ve had interventions of a sort, but I wasn’t ready.

It’s a great time to be Will Smith. The actor is a frontrunner to land an Oscar nomination for his performance in “King Richard,” opening in theaters and streaming on HBO Max beginning November 19, and he has a new memoir titled “Will” that’s generating a ton of buzz and is now available for purchase. One of the more candid moments of the memoir comes when Smith reveals that his son, Jaden, asked to be emancipated from his parents at 15 years old following the critical and box office failure of “After Earth.” The 2013 M. Night Shyamalan film was based on Will’s original idea and was anticipated for reuniting Will and Jaden on screen for the first time since “The Pursuit of Happyness,” which earned Will an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

Photo: Jan Belcl Jan Belcl is a young, Slovenian director hot off the success of his new hit film, ‘All My Friends Are Dead’. His script features an ensemble cast of characters at a party on New Year’s Eve where things start to descend into chaos. Amidst a stellar plot, comedy and horror come together to create a wonderfully-entertaining choice for a Saturday night movie. Before directing ‘All My Friends Are Dead’, Jan worked on several large Polish films with his mentor, Mitja Okorn. Some of his filmographies includes the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Life in a Year’ with Cara Delevigne and Jaden Smith, as well as Polish romantic-comedy ‘Planeta Singli’. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to interview Jan to discuss his new film, mentor, and the Polish Cinema scene. It feels as though there haven’t been a lot of positive things to say about Jaden Smith or even Cara Delevigne in a while, maybe that’s accurate or maybe it’s not, but Life in a Year is a good reason to start looking at these two through different eyes since this story feels powerful in a way that could help bring them back into the spotlight in a big way or simply remind people that they’ve been special for some time. The story revolves around two young people played by Smith and Delevigne that end up caring deeply about one

Jaden Smith isn’t just an actor and a musician. The 22-year-old son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith is also a social activist — more specifically a water activist.

"I know it's not always easy, but nothing ever is... That's why we make plans." Plans for... a whole life? An official trailer has arrived for Life in a Year, a new romance project from Jaden Smith (exec produced by Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith). The emotional drama is about a 17-year-old boy named Daryn, played by Jaden, who falls for a girl he meets at an ice cream shop. But when he learns that she is terminally ill, with only a year left to live, he sets out to give her an entire life in the last year she has. Cara Delevingne co-stars, with a cast including RZA, Nia Long, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Chris D'Elia. This looks sweet but extra campy, a bit overblown with its platitudes and grandiosity. But you gotta live your life! Yeah, sure. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Mitja Okorn's Life in a Year,...

‘Life In A Year’ Trailer: Terminal Illness Forces Jaden Smith & Cara Delevingne To Rush Through Love
You can probably thank “The Fault In Our Stars” for kickstarting this trend in recent years, but Hollywood has seemingly been in love with the idea of a YA film focused on a new love affair between teens that is interrupted by one of their terminal illnesses. And that’s grabbing the baton this year from films like ‘Stars,’ “Then Came You,” and “Five Feet Apart” is the upcoming film “Life in a Year.”

November can be a slow month for streaming services. Amazon, however, is entering into 2020’s penultimate month with some steam.
Amazon is really beefing up its TV library in November 2020. Both Community (which arrives on Nov. 8) and Scrubs (Nov. 14) will be added to Amazon Prime this month and in the process complete the streaming trifecta: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu. That’s pretty impressive stuff for both shows. And then on the film side of things, November 1 sees the arrival of The X-Files: I Want to Believe, Twilight, and the Underworld franchise. Somebody didn’t tell Amazon Spooky Season was over and bless them for it.
As for the originals, Alex Rider is the most intriguing TV series here. That is based on the British spy novel series and premieres on Nov. 13 on IMDb TV (which is available to all Prime subscribers). That will be followed by Steve McQueen’s Small Axe series on Nov.

Even though Chris D’Elia was dropped by CAA and Three Arts Management this week after multiple women accused him of predatory online behavior when they were minors, the actor and comedian still has three completed films in the pipeline. D’Elia next stars alongside Dave Bautista and Ella Purnell in Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead,” the already-wrapped follow-up to the auteur’s 2004 zombie remake “Dawn of the Dead.” Netflix, the film’s distributor, declined to comment on the film’s status — but it seems unlikely that the streamer would go back into production to recast D’Elia’s role. The comedian also has a supporting role in “Life in a Year,” a romantic drama starring Jaden Smith as a 17-year-old boy who learns his girlfriend is dying and plans to give her their entire life together in the year she has left. Suicide Squad star Cara Delevingne has opened up about her pansexuality during a candid interview. Speaking to Variety for its Power of Pride issue, the model-turned-actress discussed everything from her LGBTQ+ identity to disgraced media mogul Harvey Weinstein’s reaction to her same-sex relationships.
Delevingne – whose other notable screen credits include the historical romantic drama Tulip Fever and Amazon Prime show Carnival Row – has previously described herself as ‘bisexual’ and later ‘sexually fluid,’ but in her latest interview, she firmly declared herself pansexual, meaning she’s attracted to people regardless of their gender.
“I feel different all the time. Some days, I feel more womanly. Some days, I feel more like a man. I always will remain, I think, pansexual. However one defines themselves, whether it’s ‘they’ or ‘he’ or ‘she,’ I fall in love with the person – and that’s that. I’m attracted to the person.”

The series of tweets began with: "The Four Seasons In Toronto just made me want to throw up on myself." Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's son then went on to...
